I love the fresh floral scent and the moisture it gives my hair but unfortunately it didn’t work well for my fine hair. Over time it made my hair too oily and weighed down but if you have thicker hair I’d definitely recommend trying this bc it detangles and smooths so well!

Smells great and really leaves my hair soft. It doesn’t weight my hair down, very lightweight.

I have long, straight, fine hair that is damaged, frizzy, and prone to breakage. I tried the original Mise en Scène Perfect Serum because of all the positive reviews, but it was simply too heavy for my hair. When I saw they had released a leave-in conditioner version of the Perfect Serum, I almost didn't order it because I was worried it would have the same problem. I'm so glad I gave it a chance. This leave-in has been a pleasant surprise. It smooths my hair as well as many heat-activated serums I've tried, but without needing to blow dry or flat iron my hair. My hair looks smoother, feels silkier, and has less frizz, even when I just let it air dry. When I do decide to style my hair, I don't need to apply another product, it's an effective heat protectant. What impressed me most is that it has virtually eliminated the tangles I usually get throughout the day. I've used plenty of products that help detangle my hair after washing it, and this one does that too. The difference is that my hair also tends to develop snarls and knots when it's dry, especially on windy days or when I'm wearing certain fabrics, and this has almost completely stopped that from happening. Since tangles often lead to breakage, that's a huge benefit for me. The formula relies primarily on silicones and lightweight smoothing ingredients, along with a blend of oils, to help reduce frizz, improve slip, and make hair easier to manage. After shaking it to blend the ingredients, it's not ultra-light, but it doesn't weigh my fine hair down--as long as I spray it lightly on wet or damp hair. The scent is also nice. It's hard to describe, but it's light, fresh, and slightly fruity. I can smell it while I'm spraying it, but it dissipates quickly and doesn't linger in my hair afterward. At $18.99 for 5.7 oz (price at the time of this review, June 2026), I think this is an excellent value. A little goes a long way, and it performs better than many salon products I've tried that cost considerably more. Overall, this has become one of my favorite leave-in conditioners. It's one of the few products I've tried that not only helps detangle after washing, but also prevents the knots and snarls that develop later in the day.

Summary: Excellent lightweight leave-in treatment that has worked beautifully for my fine, curly hair even though it is not specifically advertised for curls. It leaves my hair soft, shiny, healthy-looking, and well-defined without weighing it down, and it works especially well for refreshing curls between washes. Review: I have fine curly hair that ranges between 2C, 3A, and sometimes 3B curls, and my hair also tends to run on the drier side. Even though this product is not specifically marketed for curly hair, it has worked extremely well for my curls. I primarily use this mist on wet hair after showering together with my usual curl styling products, and it leaves my curls looking soft, healthy, shiny, and well-defined after diffusing. What I especially appreciate is that even when I use additional styling products afterward for hold, my hair still feels soft and touchable instead of stiff or crunchy. I’ve also tested it without adding other styling products afterward. In that case, my curls do tend to loosen and fall more by midday, so for stronger hold I still prefer pairing it with a curl gel or cream. However, even without additional hold products, my hair still looks noticeably healthier, smoother, shinier, and more moisturized. Another way I’ve been using this is to refresh my curls the day after washing. I lightly spray it onto my hair, reshape a few sections, and it helps bring the curls back to life while adding softness and shine again without making my hair greasy or heavy. Because my hair is both fine and curly, I’m always cautious about leave-in products that can weigh curls down or make them limp, but this one has remained lightweight while still giving enough moisture and softness to improve the overall appearance of my hair. Overall, this is an excellent leave-in conditioning mist that has worked very well for my fine curly hair even though it is not specifically promoted for curls. My hair consistently looks softer, shinier, healthier, and more defined after using it.
