This works and I don't have any dead spot upstairs
I had to try a few times and finally used the wire and pressed the wps buttons on both and it connected with the smarh app. Took upstairs and after it connected and I rebooted the computers it attached to the extender. Now the TV will stream and the computer transfers files like it did when I had Comcast at my old house. The internet also works like it should with the service I have.Att was not any help. They said I could buy at the Att store and the store said no and I would have to pay the 10$ per month even if I bought the 4971 unit that they give to you when you buy monthly from them. What a joke. I bought the 4921 because it was better and faster than the 4920 that was about $100 less. I am glad I did.

Exceeded expectations
We have a 100 year old brick bungalow with our primary ATT router (BGW320) located in the basement. Getting Wi-Fi to reach the deck/backyard has always been difficult. I had recently purchased a TP-Link AXE75 and used it as an access point which helped somewhat. The biggest “issue” was it can’t work as mesh in AP mode. However I was getting solid Speedtest results in the backyard.I came across this ATT 4921 and thought I’d give it a try since it can be used as a true mesh extender. I placed in the same position as the TP-LINK and all I can say is WOW. The Speedtest was triple what I was seeing with the TP-LINK….. and it’s meshFor my purpose, the ATT extender does a great job

Solid performer, can be installed on AT&T
I had a 4921 that I bought from AT&T that died,so i figured if i bought a new one it would be a simple replacement. Not quite. When ATT sold these their system recognized them and they showed up on the SMART HOME MANAGER app from ATT. However since these are not bought from ATT, they will no longer show up on the app. If you try to install them through the app they will keep failing (mine did anyway), but if you attach it by a yellow cable to you gateway box and leave it for several minutes (may take 10-15 minutes), i eventually got a solid GREEN light meaning the system recognized it. You can then move it where you need to, and should get a solid GREEN light, meaning it is still attached to your system. However, it will never show up on your SMART HOME MANAGER app.

Bad product and service
Purchased the AT&T extender, and it wouldn't work at all. Did diag. with AT&T and it was either a used or remanufactured unit. They agreed to send another one immediately and their tracking info said shipped. When I followed up with UPS, they did an automatic label creation but never shipped a package. After 3 weeks of no responses, I requested a refund. I already sent the bad unit back, and fear they won't issue me a refund as I have no product to return. VERY BAD customer service. The product now isn't listed as available

works great
I have used this booster and it does just like the other I have. This model was not available on the AT&T website. They still show the old model. I received my first one who came to my residence to help with the poor speed I was having with my old AT&T modem. The old one was out-of-date. The new one was better, but I had some dead spots in the house. He installed the Airties 4921 which he said the had just received on their service trucks. The installation went seamlessly. It connects to both GZs without a problem. It does not segregate the two speeds. The only issue I have with this product through Amazon is the price. Buying it off the AT&T truck was $39.99 and it was $70+ through the Amazon seller. Unfortunately, you won't find it on the AT&T website. Maybe later, but not when I checked. Try to have it installed by AT&T of the technician has one and will not charge you a service call.

signal range at least double of specifications
Att fixed wifi installed in detached garage prox 90ft from home. Obviously strength from 5286AC was weak in home. Ordered 4921 as booster. Easy pairing with ATT Uverse 5268AC supplied at wifi installation. Moved 4921 to home and showed solid green before it began blinking red/green then solid green for a while then blinking red/green pattern. I showed full strength in home from pc & Ipads/phones and speeds greatly improved. This light pattern is NOT shown on PDF downloaded install. I spent time in ATT service trying to determine if I needed a 2nd 4921 and after 3rd transfer to once again explain I bailed. Looked at 4921 and showing solid green as it has stayed for a week. We live in the boonies and have tried just about everything over the years to get decent wifi. I can now actually stream a movie.

Does not help much in my case.
The product install is easy enough. The AT&T Smart Home app detects it immediately and gives great step-by-step instructions on pairing with the AT&T BGW320 modem. I had trouble pairing the two though. It took three tries. I have the extender downstairs, about 20 feet from the modem. But the two devices that I have downstairs keep connecting with the modem upstairs and both get a weak signal. For reasons I don't understand the two devices do not connect with the extender. Only when I take one of the devices (an iPad) outside it connects. Apparently in spaces where the modem and extender overlap, the modem takes precedence.

Performs well
No instructions, but was able to attach to my home network, and the system works as advertised. If I needed to extend my range to more area, would definitely attach another one.
