Great product!
Excellent product. Just as described. I took the pole of a broom handle and attached this apple picker with 2 screws. I did not actually put the screws into the pole, but just tight enough up against it to hold. My broom pole was not ruined. Product worked great!

Good Implement for Apples
This tool is a winner. It is constructed of stamped and riveted steel, with the basket made from some kind of fine synthetic material. Overall the build quality is fine, it's adequately stiff to serve its intended purpose while still being light enough to control at the end of a long stick. Slipping the bag over the fruit then pulling back until the stem in in the metal teeth and gently twisting is the best technique with this tool, this will shear the fruit from the tree without damaging the branch or dropping nearby fruit as you happens with just a pulling motion, which causes the apple to snaps off the branch making two or three nearby apples drop. The bag hold about 4 to 6 medium-sized apples, so you can do a few apples at a time before bringing the tool down to empty. The aperture is about 4" on this tool, so if you have some kind of monster supermarket apple cultivar going, you might need to look elsewhere. I harvested several hundred pounds of apples with this tool, to good effect. I have not tried it on any other kind of fruit.I have used it mounted on an extendable fiberglass painter's pole, and also on a wooden broom handle. Mr. Longarm, the painter pole manufacturer, makes a plastic coupler to adapt conical female pieces like this to male threaded poles (it is called a "plastic squeegee adapter," MPN #0203, ASIN #B013CX26CQ). I secured it with a single stainless screw and it has held up well. I have found that the 6' broom handle is perfect for this fruit harvester, as I find you can use it one-handed, whereas it takes two hands to control the longer, heavier painter's pole. I reserve the longer pole for the highest fruit. With the adapter screwed in place, it takes seconds to change it out.Overall, this is a great implement for apples, and a fine value. I'd definitely buy it again.

inferior quality
The metal that the material is attached to will bend and the material itself will come of the basket eventually. Very annoying. Don't waist your money on this.

NOT easy pickins for avocados.
CHEAP! CHEAP! CHEAP! SOMETHING THIS PICKY SHOULD COST MORE; but dont pick avocados!!! Avos take alot of force,so the thin metal will bend to distortion. MY AVOS ARE BIG so its 2 at a time with constant tweaking back into place. Be careful! This thing is the JAWS of fruit pickers, the teeth say it all. With a bit of reinforcement where the neck meets the ring, a bigger sac & a good coat of plastidip to coat the teeth I can now pick avos successfully. I had the wire basket type before so why not try something new.

Works great! Saves me having to climb a ladder to get to the apples, which are 15 to 20 feet high.. Plus, it's light enough so that the kids can use it to get their own apples (I don't want them climbing the ladder).

Good pickin's
Very good for picking fruit without bruising. The fabric lasted a couple of years in the very humid tropics, and a new bag can be made to replace the original.
