Westmark Germany Steel Manual Can Opener (Black)

It is sturdy, sharp, DOES THE JOB, takes little space in a drawer. Seems to be made from a good quality metal. At the beginning I was not sure about design (before I used only can openers with long handles) - but it is easy to use. Trick is set it on a can and turn knob once or twice for the tooth to sink into the can.

This works Great. Forget the handles. This is the way to go. Locks in, cuts the top. Unlike the handle versions, where sometimes it doesn't cut or slips off. I need to order another to replace the crappy one in the camper now.

I really wanted to like this. It's compact and seems well-designed.After trying it for a couple of months I bought a more traditional manual can opener. Came across this one in the drawer last week and thought I'd give it another shot. Absolutely useless in my opinion.

It took a little getting use to figure out. You need to adjust the opener part to the thickness of the can and then once it’s snug twist and turn to open.

High quality product. A little bit quirky to use, but still an excellent product. I have spent more cash on standards that don’t work for long. This is a good one and I expect to have it for a long time.

This is the type of can opener than professional chefs use. I discovered this after got frustrated with my bulky ZYLISS Lock N' Lift Can Opener and researched the alternatives.The way this works is pretty simple but ingenious. It clamps on tightly after you rotate the handle because the grip wheel moves in an oblong axle pattern to latch on to the underside of the lip. You don't have to apply any force, simply rotate the handle!This opens all kinds of cans. I'm never going back to the poorly designed home goods store can openers!Plus, this is Made in Germany!

Unfortunately I haven't figured out the secret to using this can opener. If you have poor hands then it's not for you. When I do get it to catch, it zips right through. But so far I just fight with it, I even watched a u tube video which did'nt really help. I thought I saw one with a longer handle. Well anyway i think I'll try to find my old military canopener that was given to me. Ok..update..after further attemps of use it finally went in the trash..soryyy.../

This is one of the best can openers I have bought in years, It has the quality to be the last one I need to purchase

Endlich mal ein vernünftiger Öffner. Er schneidet den Deckel ab - also beim öffnen hat der Deckel scharfe Kanten. Aber dafür gehen die Dosen vernünftig auf. Auch für große Dosen geeignet. Seit dem Ding mache ich auch wieder gern die Dosen auf. Hatte vorher KUHN RIKON, dieser hatte mit der Zeit Schwierigkeiten bei 2kg Dosen.
