I forgot to take a picture but it installed relatively easy and my washer works great. The previous locking mechanism malfunctioned causing the washer to be unusable. After replacing it with this one, the washer has had no issues. It looks slightly different than the one replaced but it was the correct fit and works great.

Found this as a compatible replacement for our whirlpool washer, model wtw8100bw0. From manufacturer it can be close to 100, so were happy to find this here.Installation was overall quite simply to remove a few screws from the interface, and the top. And running the new lid lock assembly through. Worked first try!

I wasn’t about to pay someone to come out and diagnose and replace this part for me. I scoured the internet for a diagnosis and once I figured out what part I needed, I purchased and installed it with the help of YouTube university. It took me 30 minutes tops. The part works as it should.
