Great Product That is Priced Right, is Easy To Use, and Works Like a Charm! Enjoy!
This summer when my wife and I had a new sliding glass door and screen door along with a couple windows installed. By winter we felt a draft around the windows and called the installer back to fix it. He did a great job and also noticed that the original installer put the screen in backwards. He fixed that too, but noticed that it did not roll as smoothly as it should. The installer recommended that we use a dry silicone lubricant because he said it will not cause problems of built up product of wet lubricants. Accordingly, I searched the internet looking for a reliable one and chose this brand. It had a red straw taped to the side that worked great. I sprayed the top and bottom runners of both the screen door and the glass door using the straw provided. Both doors now open and close smoothly and quietly. This product was quick and easy to use and works great. I recommend this product to family, friends, and others who are looking for a dry lubricant for sliding doors and like usage. Enjoy!

IT WORKED
i have tried all types of lubricants for my 10-year-old sliding patio doors without much success. I wish I had known about this product before. One note - follow the instructions to the letter. Make sure the "old" stuff is off your track before applying. I know, I know, every manufacturer tells you the same thing. But this time I used my wife's Dawm power wash platinum spray. It cleaned the track, top and bottom and was a perfect clean awaiting lubrication. The one thing I did notice after application is that the door doesn't slide like it used to. I suspect age has something to do with that - but it is far better than before.

A Great "Dry" Lubricant
There are a lot of places where WD-40 is NOT the right lubricant. Many of those times a good silicone spray does the duty correctly. This is a good sized can in spite of the "8.5 ounce" contents. We purchase this for our treadmill. The continuous belt rests on a solid surface and requires monthly lubrication. This 3M spray is exactly what the manufacturer suggests. It works over a long period of time and dues not attract dust and dirt (this is where the "dry" part comes in.) This is not a powder and feels damp if you spray some on your fingers, but once the propellant evaporates it leaves behind a slippery surface that does not rub off under the sort of use we put it to. Given that we purchased this can months ago and it is still more than half full, I would estimate the need to buy it again only about every 15-18 months. It's a very good buy.

Really great stuff! But..
The product is great! I used it to lube our vinyl windows, which have been sticking really bad. So bad that I actually injured my shoulder trying to open one of them recently. After that episode, I decided it was time to fix them! This stuff worked like a charm! And because its a dry spray, it won't attract dirt like using an oily lube like regular WD-40 would. So the window track should stay smooth and clean for a longer period of time. Im knocking one star off and here's why... I don't know if it's a common problem, but this product was supposed to come with one of those thin red straws to attach to the nozzle in order to get a focused spray into tight spaces. Not having that straw really limits the applications in which this product can be used! It makes some jobs impossible to do, and others very messy and wasteful. So I had to go to the local hardware store and buy some of the straws. The seller, Amazon, whomever, should make sure that all of these include the straw. The unit I recieved had the piece of tape on the side where the straw would normally be attached, but no straw...

impressive stuff
Worked great on a sticky window, no residue to attract dirt. Others complained about the straw, but I had no problem except the tape doesn't hold it to the can well, so it was loose in the box. All it needed was a new piece of tape. It's the same type as comes with lots of other spray can products anyway. Update: I bought a second can from a local auto parts store and it was also missing the straw. Apparently 3M doesn't know how to use tape.

Great for old vinyl windows in our home
We had thermal pane vinyl windows installed in our home about 15 years ago. They started becoming hard to open and close. I tried a few things .. then found this stuff and it works great. I hit the runners and the slides once a year and they open and close like new. I was getting low and just purchased another can for stock. GOOD DRY LUBRICANT for our vinyl windows.

Amazing stuff!
Amazing stuff!I use it for my double hung windows, because it doesn’t leave any residue and it’s very easy. I had a window that was stuck for years and after I used the straw to spray the silicone down into the tracks , I was able to open the window immediately. I would caution you to wear a mask while using it, because it can irritate your lungs if you breathe it in. my wife, if you use it indoors be very careful because a lot of the silicone will get on the floors making them very slippery. I don’t recommend that you use this for anything like lubricating, toys or games, such as air hockey surfaces, because it will spill onto the floor and make ipeople much more likely to slip and fall. If you’re going to lubricate things, it’s preferable that you do it outdoors if possible.

You need this for your sticking vinyl windows.
I used this on some sticking/hard to move vinyl windows in my house. I put both windows down, sprayed the 2 upper tracks on the frame of the window on either side, and then put the windows up. Then I sprayed the lower tracks and put the windows down again. Then I repeated these steps again. One window takes about 1 minute to do. It is a dry, aerosol spray that does not make a mess. The results were amazing. I'm ordering another can just to have around. If you have sticking vinyl windows you would be a fool not to buy it.

So far I am seeing mixed results using this on the rubber seals of my car to help prevent them from sticking in cold temperatures. This morning it was minus 11 and there was a little bit of stickage. This is an expensive dry silicone spray and I used a good 2/3 of the can just spraying all the seals on my car doors. For now it gets a three out of five for mixed results. If the product performs better in soon to come Colder Weather I will update this to reflect that
