I have a "liniment" that I make using dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and Castor bean oil which I apply to my poor, achy arthritic joints. After that, I rub in a Ben Gay knockoff which contains methylsalicylate as its active ingredient. It was a two-step process until this arrived in the mail. The ointment will not dissolve in either carrier (DMSO & CBO), but this formulation does, saving me a few steps. I not only recommend this product, I also recommend checking out my DIY formula yourself.

**Q: How many mg of methyl salicylate are in each ml of the product you ship?**
A: The short answer is I don,t know because I have packed it to to go to my winter home. I did use some to fortify some products I use and found it to be very strong. I was very happy with the purchase. Not very technical answer but I hope it helps some.

**Q: Can this be mixed with regular alcohol to make wintergreen alcohol at home?**
A: Yes, 2 oz. to 1 pint of Alcohol

Found a method to use to soften rubber online. Wintergreen is an essential part along with rubbing alcohol. I had to cut an old rubber fuel line and install a metal connector for a lift pump, the line had lost elasticity and I was saved by this method. Took longer that expected and the edge did swell but got the part attached without leaks 2 months ago. Use outdoors very strong smell, garage smells great.
