My rough collie mix HATES being brushed - the slicker brushes hurt his skin, and everything else tugs at his hair more than he's a fan of. This spray makes the brush go through the fur like a charm with no tugging, and makes removing debris from our forest walks a breeze. It leaves a bit of a waxy feeling to the fur after the fact, but it dissipates over a few days and, at least for my dog, keeps his fur tangle free for those days too. Bonus points because it brings out the curl pattern in his coat. The smell is also amazing - I almost wish i could get this scent in a human detangler!

It conditions well, but the smell is far too strong. And if it’s too strong for me, it’s definitely too strong for the pups. It also smells just like the pet odor Febreeze spray. Won’t buy again unless they come out with an unscented version.

Thick spraying on but nice smell and makes the hair looks nice and glossy, not greasy.

The cats obviously didn't like the smell; it smells pretty good, but it's too strong for the cats' sensitive noses.

I've used this as a detangler on long Pomeranian fur with matts. It gets the matts out and would work fantastic if it wasn't for the strong scent. My puppy loses his mind and gags and can't stay still during grooming. He's very dramatic and rolls on blankets or fabric desperate to get the smell off. If there was an unscented option that would be ideal!
