This work great for the 3d printers. They fit nicely around the bars and gets all the dirt and dust off. I will buy again.

I ride an E-MTB, I'm a maintenance fanatic, I find the Floss Cleaning Rope is an awesome way to the keep the cassette near spotless. I think it works great, very little pulling threads on sprocket teeth and that does not effect cleaning at all nor do I find that to be inconvenient. There is no comparison to how clean the floss keeps the cassette vs a brush and avoids needing to wash the cassette down with detergents. This gets a 10 star in my book.

Absolutely amazing!! I had never used gear floss before but after my first time I can tell u that it works so well and is soooo easy. I used one to “lubricate” and break loose to grime on my 3d printers x axis bars. Then I used a clean one for each of the 3 to do final cleaning with. Not a spec anywhere. As long as u fully wrap it around and then just go back and forth as it goes up and down, nothing is left. I had weird noise before almost like grinding, which is odd because it’s a brand new 3d printer. Afterwards it’s completely more quiet and clean sounded. I suppose there may be some residual cleaning needed near the bearings, but I’ll do that in my next overhaul. Buy it, use it, and store it for later. Today worth the money. Photos are after cleaning and lubricated.

It's a great idea, but you have to really twist them and the cassette snags the fibers. They do really get into the cassette, I just find my patience to wear thin with them.
