More or less what I expected
I think I keep trying these types of things and really wanting them to be different. I had high hopes for the donuts, hoping for something, well. Donuty. It's a fun kit, and I'm sure children would like it just fine. You can honestly eyeball the measurements pretty easily. But the taste of the donuts....left much to be desired (the usual cloying sweet of Kracie's kits, though oddly the chocolate wasn't bad). The icing and sprinkles were actually quite delicious, (honestly the icing was hilariously perfect; just the right level of sweetness) and making the "dough" (which is almost gummy, but not sticky, and to its credit does feel a bit like uncooked dough) into the two donut shapes is very easy (there's a basic donut and a "crueller" mold) and there's enough dough to make extra donuts, or fun shapes like the suggested bear. You will need scissors (you have to snip the corner of the icing bag, and cut the tiny measuring part off; it won't break off like in several of the other kits) and obviously a bit of water. It's a fun little activity, and you can lyrically point your kid/s at it and just let them figure it out without instructions, or you can figure it out together (or you can be a goofy childish adult like me and make it yourself). And if you cant get the "donut" taste out of your mouth, just steal the leftover sprinkles and icing and enjoy that! (I do feel a bit like someone's going to tell me "you were supposed to microwave the dough!" In which case.....well you don't HAVE to, apparently.)As you probably know to expect, it takes a long time to arrive, but I'm not actually convinced these kits ever go bad (they're like alarmingly sweet, nutricionless MREs). I'd say order two at a time if you're getting any at all, even if you're just don't it by yourself, because immediately after finishing the one kit I began to wonder things like it it would've been better if I'd microwaved the dough, etc. But I'm not interested in finding out in three months. If you're wanting this for an activity for kids, you'll probably want at minimum one for each kid, and probably at least one for any adults involved. They actually make...I think I got five or six donuts out of it, but it's a tiny little kit and they're very tiny donuts.Probably something I'll order again when my niece is old enough to enjoy it. (I like to pretend I keep trying these things purely for doing them with her when she's older.)

Wonderful detailed kawaii little fun!!!
Kracie Donuts kit is so cute and fun! The items are very tiny so easier for small hands, but I am adult and made them just fine. The kits take patience and are as much about the making of your own candy as it is eating it, if not more. I enjoy the flavor of Kracie kit foods. I heard a lot of folks do not like the texture. It is Japanese, the Japanese tend to enjoy sticky foods such as mochi and it is like that. I love sticky rice and Japanese foods. It has a very mild flavor. Barely there custard, and only slight cocoa tastes. It is not horribly sweet like many US or European candies will be. Its subtle, and chewy. I made my kit, and took photos. If you take your time it turns out well! Press hard into the molds, and I added a couple drops more water to my " dough" which made them appear smoother and more uniform. I think children old enough to do detailed tasks, and adults who like this kind of thing- children type things adults can love too, Kawaii Japanese things, will enjoy this.

Fun to make and decorate, taste is alright
This was a lot of fun to make. There's a lot of mixing going on here, with 2 donut dough flavors and 3 flavors of frosting. It was easy to make (no microwave needed) and along with the 3 types of frosting, you get two types of sprinkles-candy bits and crunchy bits. Decorating is easy to do and you can be pretty creative with it. The little box was easy to make as well once I realized you cut the tabs on 3 sides, not just two.I'd make this one again just for the making parts. Taste wise, it's eh, maybe a 3 out of 5. It's a wet dough and the strawberry frosting and vanilla aren't the strongest. The chocolate dough doesn't really have a big flavor either other than "sweet."

Cute and Tasty! ^ ^
I'd always seen videos on the Popin' Cookin' series, so when my older sister gave me an Amazon gift card for my birthday, I decided to try this, along with the cake. The weird thing about me doing this was that I didn't have a lot of time; I brought it to school for lunch. I recommend that you do this at home, or on your own time with a lot more leeway. O_O;;Aside from that though, the flavors were pretty good! Both flavors of dough were tasty. Some people prefer it cooked (in the microwave), I didn't for some, but it tasted good. The chocolate icing was good, but for some reason I can't remember the strawberry? I may have not had time to do that.I didn't have many complaints. One was the molds for the dough, though. Of course, I didn't have scissors so this added to the problem, but after fitting the dough into the molds, it could be difficult to pop them back out. My package also came a little smashed, but the inside contents were good and intact, so it's fine.Overall, I recommend this because it's cute, tasty, and fun. ^ ^

Rated by real kids
Bought these kits: ice cream, hamburger, doughnut and sushi for my 10-yr old and her BF (same age). They ranked all of them as super fun to make. The girls were able to do the entire process without any help (though they did use a Youtube video for guidance!). As for flavor, the hamburger was the best and they said they LOVED it. The doughnut kit was the worst tasting. The others were just "ok." From the parent perspective, I "got" to try the ice-cream product and agree that the flavor is "ok"; not great but not as bad as I feared. I gave this kit 3 stars because the kids said it was fun to make, but the taste was bad.For the question, would you want to make them again? The answer was a resounding "YES".
