They use rails directly pre-threaded for standard rack-mount bolts. As such, RackStuds will NOT work as they require the square hole. If you wanted the RackStuds for a specific reason, one option is to purchase the demo pack. Install the normal rack bolts you already have BUT from inside the case, fit your item over the bolts, then use the screw on covers from RackStud to secure the item. Personally, if you've invested in SKB racks, stick with standard bolts. I use mine in a network cabinet (no movement). 2x 1U rack mount switches & a 1U rack mount fan are the heaviest items. Everything else is patch panels or cable tidies. **Q: I'm just installing a fixed shelf. Does it matter what colour colour/size I order?** A: YES Red = mounting rail upto 2.2mm thick Purple = mounting rail between 2.7mm and 3.2mm thick In other words, you need to know the thickness of your rack mounting holes. If you order Red and you have the thicker mounting rails, they won't lock in place. Any rack I build for work is going to need at least a hundred so normal rack screws it is....
