This is a great beginner-friendly fishing rod and reel combo. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and perfect for quick fishing trips. The reel is smooth, and the build feels sturdy for the price. Only minor issue is the rod could be a bit more sensitive, but overall, a solid buy.

Cheaply made.
This broke after about a week of use. It would be nice if I could get a refund. It was for my grandsons bday and it doesn’t appear to be made very well.

i bought this for myself to go fishing with my son, i love it! its light weight and easy to cast! i havent been fishing since i was a kid and had no problems casting it out!

Amazing Value
This is really a fine product. Quality construction; a smaller version of an adult rod and reel. I think Shakespeare must be selling this as a loss-leader to get kids into fishing. If so, fine by me. Took my granddaughter out fishing today and it all worked perfectly; she even caught fish.
