This is one of those basics I always end up coming back to. It’s thick, super moisturizing, and actually helps when my skin is really dry or irritated. A little goes a long way, so the tube lasts forever, and I mainly use it at night or on rough spots like hands and elbows. It does feel a bit heavy/greasy at first, but that’s kind of expected with this type of ointment. Overall, it’s just reliable. Not fancy, but it works really well for dry skin and I always keep it on hand.

I've ordered this several times and use it frequently as a barrier cream on my skin. It's actually a gel, not a cream, but it works really well if you need a skin protect of any kind. It's odorless & colorless & you only need to apply a very thin amount on the area that needs protecting. You can even use it on top of another medicated cream if need be. I find it better to use than zinc oxide paste because it's not sticky and it doesn't stain your clothes. I also find it better than even Vaseline. Vaseline is thicker and greasy and leaves a stain on clothing. Aquaphore is thinner, yet still very effective, and it's not greasy at all! It seems to be water soluable as well, so it's easy to wash off, unlike zinc oxide paste & Vaseline. I use this item frequently and I highly recommend it!

I originally bought this for dry and irritated skin, but it turned out to be one of the most useful products I’ve ever purchased. I work long hours, stay active, and sometimes deal with skin irritation caused by friction. Aquaphor has been a lifesaver. It creates a protective barrier, helps irritated skin recover quickly, and keeps everything comfortable. A small amount goes a long way. The ointment is thick, lasts for hours, has no strong scent, and works much better for me than many regular lotions. I’ve used it on dry skin, chafing, cracked hands, and minor irritation, and it has performed great every time. If you’re looking for a simple, effective product that actually does what it promises, this is it. I always keep a tube at home and another one in my travel bag. Highly recommended.

Post-ankle surgery, the skin on my foot became thick and leathery. I was horrified at how it peeled off in little pieces. Despite not being a fan of ointments, I read the reviews for this product, and they were so good that I ordered some, and gently rubbed it into my foot at night. Within a week or two, most of the "leather" on my foot peeled off and my feet began to look pink and healthy, better than they had before surgery. There was no sting or smell and a little went a long way. A couple of months ago, I had more surgery on my foot and when I removed the ace bandage post-op, my foot was very dry again. The Aquaphor ointment is already fixing that. It's not expensive at all, and it works extremely well. What more can I ask for? If you have very dry skin, try this ointment. I found it amazingly effective.

We’ve been using Aquaphor ointment for many years and have always been happy with the product itself. However, our last two purchases came with the newer packaging design, and the cap has become a major disappointment. The previous cap design worked perfectly, but the new one uses a cheap plastic hinge that breaks almost immediately—sometimes after just one use. It doesn’t require excessive force or mishandling; the hinge simply snaps during normal use. This has become a recurring issue and an unnecessary headache. The ointment itself still works exactly as intended, which is why we’ve remained loyal customers for so long. I just hope the design team considers bringing back the old cap or using a more durable material. A great product deserves better packaging.
