Pretty sure this is charcoal
So this filter was a bit too long I cut it off, when I discovered rocky material inside , which is why it bends when you force it in, and that material is probably charcoal, but I did make it fit with some accommodations so all ends well

A+ design; D+ fit
they seem appropriate form my Missouri Meerschaum pipe but don't fit well. even with a new, clean pipe, i had to force the filter into the stem; the filter sorta "crunches up" and i'm continuously replacing them.

Will not fit my corn cobs that take a 6mm filter made by the same company. So i need to use dr. Grabow in my meerschaun pipes and my meerschaum filters in nothing.
