Do these glasses contain traces of lead?

According to their website, they are both BPA and lead free. I would highly recommend these glasses to everyone.

What are the dimensions of 12oz glass?

Dimensions: 3.25" x 4.75" Capacity: 12.625 oz (36 cl)

What are the glass dimensions in inches? How tall? How wide at the widest point ( the diameter of the top opening)? Thank you

Love, love, love these glasses!Very comfortable grip.Glasses measure 5 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches across the top.

Do these glasses explode on their own?

Yes, indeed, these DO eventually explode. I picked one up last night and it exploded in my hand with a very loud bang, showering me with glass, and spraying glass all over my kitchen (took hours to clean up). I got some small cuts on my leg, and my friend who was sitting about 8 feet away got a small shard in the back of her hand. Luckily I was wearing glasses, so the bits headed for my eyes bounced off. Needless to say, I immediately threw out all my remaining ones. I've had them for about 10 years, and they were in constant heavy daily use and always washed in the dishwasher. They look great, feel great in the hand, and are extremely tough (never broken when dropped) and functional. They were my favorite glasses. Nevertheless - don't buy these unless you are willing to risk the occasional scary glass shard shower.
