Great for screen printing transparencies
Okay, so I was pretty skeptical about this ink system. The concept is great but does it really work. The tubes can be pretty intimidating. I figure 1 refill cost me $100 so why not try it out. Out of the box I couldn't get it to start. So I called the seller and they answered in another language. I was like uh-oh. but when I said hello it turned to english and they were easily understood. (they are in Cali BTW. My call was transferred and a man walked me through step by step. I am very happy with the system. I even tested it out on photos. They look sharp and very professional. For screen printers this system is great because you can set all heads to print at once (with rip of course). This product has its goods and bads. Here they are....GOOD_____Equal to 10 cartridges.Chip re-setter! this is so you can use it forever!large black ink well. You can print photosUV resistant ink. Great!Great customer serviceIt actually works( I was very scared my brand new printer would not recognize the chips provided. )You don't have to steal chips from your old cartridge!BAD______-you may have to mod a space for the hose to fit in. Its not a must but the printer rattles a little with transparencies ( I guess the thickness) Doesn't seem to with ordinary paper.-the pieces that hold the tube are not the stickiest. I used 3m double sided permanent .So if you are curious, I say get one. Its pretty great!

CISS for the Epson 1430, Read before you buy
Gigablockshop.com is aware they are selling a product that if install as instructed will break a plastic lock on the customers Epson 1430 printer. Also that the product ink delivery tubes slam into the printer case kinking the tubes every time the print head moves to the far left. The repeated kinking will cause the tubes to break prematurely and leak ink all over the inside of the printer. The obstruction as the tubes slam into the case will cause premature damage to the printer motor and or cause other malfunctions. Support at Gigablockshop.com appears to have no technical knowledge about this product only saying there is no problem. Please see the videos they sent me, it shows the case obstruction.[...][...]This product is sold saying...Quick installation on the Epson 1430 - False advertisingNo leaking – Cartage leaked and breather plugs all leak, allot! - False advertising100% satisfaction – No attempt to satisfy the customer needs, avoiding direct questions, will not send replacement unit. – Customer must trust them to refund.Amazon has this report now and said they will investigate. Gigablockshop does not sell this product on E-Bay but others still do and Gigablockshop continues to sell this item on there website. If modifications like cutting the printer case and instructions on how to remove plastic clip without braking it was offered this product might work fine, but Gigablockshop just denies anything is wrong even after I gave them fee technical feedback how to fix it.

Absolute garbage
Bought this in March 2014 - this is easily the worst thing I've ever bought on Amazon. I still can't believe they sell this garbage, this is basically a product you might find at a Chinese flea market. The reason why so many people complain about it is because it rarely works without a hitch. It can clog up your Epson heads and you can even ruin the printer itself during the installation process. This product is the poster child for false advertising. First and foremost - there is nothing "quick and easy" about this system. The package arrived on my doorstep with ink stains all over the box, and upon opening the package I found ink everywhere. It was not sealed. On top of that, the "printed-out-from-someone's-computer" instructions are vague and poorly written. It says "pre-assembled", which is a lie. There is assembly. It says "quick installation", which, again, is pretty much the opposite of how this thing works. Be prepared to get ink everywhere: on every surface including your hands, face and any fabrics within ten feet of you. There's a reason why Epson designs their cartridges the way they do - and this "system" undermines all of that design. If you decide to buy this - good luck. You're gonna need it, and you're gonna need rubber gloves, paper towels and more patience than Mother Teresa.

Saves $$ but has some drawbacks!
Cons: The instructions and pictures were lacking. The pictures are not very detailed to show how to take the ink well cover off without breaking the ink well cover hinge. Also the placement of the tubing holders is critical and the instuctions are not specific enough to ensure correct operation without adjustments (trial and error) of the tubing holders. The use of gloves is recomended when you pull out the ink plugs and insert the ink breathers.Even with the proper tubing adjustment, printing has to be done with the top cover open to allow proper tubing movement. Also the tubing slaps the left top printer case when printing wide paper.Pros: You save a bundle on ink and don't have to worry about running out of ink on a large print. Color balance seams similar to the Epson Ink.I have only been using the ink system a few days and it is working so far without major problems.

Awsome
I love this system, I use an Epson Artisan 1430 to print small posters all the time. I was constantly buying cartridges for my printer, then I decided to invest in a CIS Ink System. this is the best one that I found. The directions could use a little more detail on how to take off the cartridge cover on printer as I have broken the hinge on my cover while trying to remove it. But I do not plan on going back to cartridges so it is just a minor detail. If you are looking for a CISS for your printer I would recommend choosing Gigablock.
