Great affordable option.
This was my first condenser microphone. It does what it is supposed to do. I previously used a $100 dollor dynamic mic to record acoustic guitar. I did a A/B comparison and the Tascam sounded more natural. The dynamic mic also sounded great but did not pickup the small nuances of the guitar's sound. I recommend for DIY hobby musicians like me.

AMAZING DEAL FOR A GREAT MIC! don't hesitate.
Great sounding mic on a budget! Definitely a good starter mic for anyone, Clear and crisp when connected to an interface.. (I switch between m-audio and focus rite and have this mic and a SE V7 MK) this mic feels pretty solid and durable. It does pick up sounds from the background, but nothing that can't be fixed. Also, I'm not sure how it does with screaming vocals as I have not tried that on this mic yet (Will update when I do) All in all, I would recommend this mic for anyone starting, or anyone wanting a great solid mic that's at a wonderful price, or as a back up mic incase your other breaks.. It also comes with a XLR cord, and a shock mount and a tabletop stand, you can't beat the quality and package for the price. DONT HESITATE TO PURCHASE! I can't believe more people aren't using these.

Great condenser mic with โeverything you needโ for fantastic price
Sound quality is great, easily on par with any mic I have under $200. And I love that it comes with not only a shock mount but a tripod and even a short XLR cable. Iโve got plenty of XLR cables I use in live music recording applications that are way longer than needed for my โpodcastโ setup, so that extra touch made a difference to me, and obviously would to anyone just getting started as well. All that said, Iโm afraid the tripod is a bit of joke. The mic is heavy - in a good-feeling way - and will topple the tiny tripod unless you position it โjust soโ, and the mechanism for holding it at a particular angle is also likely to not hold unless you balance it in a way that you donโt put too much stress on it. Itโs also not tall enough to allow the cable to run freely with the mic held upright, but it does work upside down, which is fine. Anyhow, I managed to find a way to set I up that works for me, but options were limited. I may yet get a boom / scissor stand. But Iโm happy to have something I could work with day one โout of the boxโ.

Fantastic Budget Microphone
I'm an 19 year old college student into music production and obviously I'm on a budget. I love this microphone especially for the price. It sounds great on vocals and when recording my acoustic guitar. You can really get this thing sounding great when you start mixing it. It sounds clear and very crisp but not too crisp to where you hate the high end of it. it's perfect for my voice.

Decent and budget friendly, but volume isn't great.
This works well and captures a lot of the small details and nuances of whatever you're recording. It's sturdy, made of good quality materials and easy to set up. But you have to get quite close to the mic to get a decent volume out of it. The mini stand it comes with is also quite a joke. I actually laughed when setting it up. You cannot adjust the angle of the mic without it toppling over due to the weight of the mic. The legs are also not adjustable, so the height is what it is. You will need to buy a separate stand or whatever you will need for your set up to hold the mic. Overall, it's a good buy if you're on a budget and need something simple.
