NaturVet Aller-911 Advanced Allergy Aid for Dogs & Cats - 70 Soft Chews

My Maltese has horrible skin allergies. Vet said she is allergic to grass. They gave us a medicated shampoo that just made her even worse. Her skin was bright red and she was scratching herself bloody in some places. We had tried a similar product to this that was: more expensive, organic ingredients, smelled like dead fish. Our dog didn’t like it, and when we finally got her to eat it, it made her sick to her stomach a couple hours later. We are so glad we bought this NaturVet Aller 911. It looks and smells very much like regular dog food. Our dog really likes the product and thinks it’s a treat. It doesn’t make her sick. And it costs so much less. Also, her inflamed bright red skin has faded to a milky pink. She is still scratching a little bit but the difference is like night and day. It is minimal compared to what it was. For our little 11 lb dog we give one dose a day and it seems to be sufficient. We intend to probably keep giving her this for the rest of her life. This product has sure eased the stress of a very itchy dog. She’s been able to sleep more lately. Thank you so much to whoever came up with this!

I bought these because my dog was itching ferociously at the start of winter when the heat came on. I knew he didn’t have fleas, and he’s got a lot of food allergies that cause skin and coat difficulties. We tried these and the first day was like magic! About an hour or so after two treats he was relaxed and sleeping soundly without the scratching he’d been doing for nearly 2 weeks. I actually looked these up and reread the ingredients, looking for some sort of doggy Benadryl. There’s no such ingredient, but I was glad he was so calm because the itching had been miserable. After several weeks of giving these daily, he is back to his old self. He occasionally scratches like any dog, but he’s not scratching to the point of causing cuts or hotspots. The little abrasions he’d given himself have healed up, and I’m assuming the flavor is good because my dog is happy to get them! I’m very happy with how these worked out, and I’ll be ordering again in bulk this time!

My Yellow Lab has awful allergies. She has them year round, but the Spring and Fall are definitely the worst. I've bought this product a few times and it seems to help. It doesn't stop her scratching and her ears and belly still look pink, but she does seem more comfortable. I hate having to give her antihistamines. I found that I can't give her the normal dosage, as she gets loose stool. She is 76 pounds, so the dosage should be six chews and my dog that's 42 pounds, should get 3 chews. Both of them had awful gas and loose stool at this dosage. I am now giving them 4 and 2 chews, respectively. I think NaturVet has many good products and I'm sure this one may work for those, that don't have as severe an issue, as my Lab. Update my review!!!! I find that if you divide the amounts, morning and night, it works better. So my smaller dog get one in the morning and my big Lab gets 2 in the morning. In the evening, the smaller one gets two and the larger dog get four. No upset stomach then. The Lab has very bad allergies, I would say that this helps her by about 80 - 85 %. She is not constantly scratching and rubbing her face, plus her ears and belly are not red all the time. Her ears just look a little pink and I put some aloe lotion on them. My small dog, is probably at about 95% with this. He has goopy eyes some mornings, but that is it.

My rescue Jack Russell terrier was constantly biting and scratching, and it got even worse in the fall, so I think it was seasonal allergies. She would scratch so much her skin would bleed, and she would lick her feet so much they were bright red. It must be a JRT problem, because the one I had before her had the same problem and so does my friend's JRT. Ever since I started giving these to her daily, this problem has stopped completely! It's been almost 3 years now and she's had no problems with itching. I don't recall exactly how long they took to start working, but it was a very noticeable difference so it didn't take very long. I wish I'd found these sooner so my other dog could've had some relief. They crumble easily and I mix one in her food every day. She must like the flavor, because she doesn't have a problem eating her food with them mixed in. And she's very picky - not a big eater like most dogs. They're not very expensive, so it's definitely worth trying these before using more expensive and potentially dangerous medication.

I didn't see any obvious improvement with these supplements, but my dog really liked getting them for a treat. Oddly enough, after taking these for 2-3 weeks my dog started getting the sniffles. I didn't think too much of it. Then he started reverse sneezing, which he normally doesn't do, but I didn't think too much of that either. Then he started sneezing with globs of snot come out of his nose. I took him to the vet and had him checked for viruses, etc., but they didn't find anything. I realized that the symptoms started soon after starting him on these so I decided to stop. Weeks later, my dog still has the snot problem, but not the reverse sneezing or other nasal issues he was having. I need to take him back to the vet, but in the meantime, I decided to give these supplements to my senior dog because he ran out of vitamins and the ingredients seem to be high quality and looked like they would work well for an all around immune system booster. About 2 weeks later my senior dog also started sniffling. He doesn't have any of the other symptoms, but he does have a consistent sniffle. Looking at the ingredients I can't figure out what would cause this except for maybe the potato starch. I'm not 100% sure that these supplements are causing the issues, but it seems like one heck of a coincidence that two of my dogs would develop similar problems after a couple weeks of starting on these. I have a third dog who has not been given these at all and he has no issues. That being said, I won't be buying these again just to be on the safe side.

I have an 7 year old ShiPoo (Shih Tzu poodle) He itched constantly 24/7. Sometimes to the point where he’d break the skin with blood. The vet put him on 10 mg of Zyrtec daily. It helped my little guy considerably, but he still itched, just not as intensely as before. A friend of mine recommended this vitamin. She gives her dog the Zyrtec and this vitamin everyday to keep him from chewing his feet. It worked amazingly for her dog, so I figured it couldn’t hurt. I’m amazed at the results. I bought two of these, and gave it to my dog every day for the last two months. It took a few days to start to work. At first I was disappointed, but read more reviews, and realized I needed to give it a real chance. I kept giving it to him, and slowly started to see improvement. The Zyrtec alone couldn’t get the job done, but adding this helped him the rest of the way. By the end of the second week, he stopped itching all together. I highly recommend adding this to your dogs daily diet. It’s changed my dogs quality of life. He’s a much happier dog. His hair is growing back, and he’s actually playing around again. After years of wasted time, money, and trying different combinations of things that didn’t work, I’m so happy that I found this.

I have 12 cats, indoor and outdoor. All are "treat freaks". I gave 1 of these treats to each cat, BEFORE feeding time, they all sniffed it and walked away. 1 week trial, tried again couple days later, same reaction. Dont waste your money.

Great for allergies. Stops cough and runny nose. My toy poodle loves the taste and will let me know if she doesn’t get one at dinner timer.
