Great Sandbox with Amazing Price!
Highly recommend! This has been a great addition to our backyard. I was drawn to this because I wanted one with an attached lid. I saw this one and thought it was way too cheap for what it was advertising I'd get. Nope, it's exactly as advertised. For size reference, my 3 year old has a ton of space. His 9 and 12 year old siblings can squeeze in there with him too, but not functionally lol. I've only had two issues. Neither of which makes me dislike the sandbox. The only one that actually annoys me is how difficult it is to get the canopy back up with one person. You must pull one side, tighten it, walk around, and repeat until you inch it up to the top. The only other issue we've had is the bench coming detached from the sandbox. They pulled right out of it, no stripping/tear, etc. The screws that secure the hinges just don't work as intended, but super easy fix.

Toddler loves
This is a great product. It was easy to put together, there is a section where you will need two people. It holds sand well and it keeps water out fairly well. I usually put the top back down before it rains to help keep the sand dry. Moving the top up or down can kind of be a hassle but it works. My daughter loves how much room she has in there and that she can sit on the little benches. Overall this product is worth the buy.

Recommend but the top tore off
Grandkids love this and it's great to keep out the cats! Offers shade but the fabric top tore off after the first couple months. Other than that it's well made

This one’s a winner!
I was very weary of buying a sandbox online but I’m so glad I took the chance with this one. It was easy to set up, just make sure like with any wood, don’t over tighten and you shouldn’t have any issues, plus I appreciated the instructions that were more than adequate to put together correctly, just make sure when you are lifting and lowering the top that both sides are even, then you just twist the knobs on either side. Easy peasy! I can get it set up for play in seconds by myself and then kick my feet up, plus bench seats are easy to fold out and I can sit comfortably while my 2 year old plays with ample room. Let’s talk durability..honestly I’m very impressed with the quality, It’s a nice strong wood (no splits or cracking and sanded down nicely to avoid splinters), it held up all winter in the IL snow with nothing over it except the cover that it comes with and it held up great! The cover is removable and attached with strong Velcro so if you ever need to give it a rinse with the hose it’s a snap without getting the sand wet. For reference we used four 5-pound bags of play-sand to fill and it worked out perfect. Overall, it’s a nice, durable sandbox that you will be able to enjoy for years to come..plus you don’t have to sit in the sand to play with your kids..you can be comfy too!

Looks cute BUT will it last the rest of summer?!
It wasn't too terrible to assemble yet some of the pictures in the instruction manual did not match what it actually looked like so it threw me for a loop for about 20 minutes because it didn't make sense. Then I looked at the cover and was like oh okay this is the right way. This wood is extremely SOFT. Looks to be treated but I can't be for certain but under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you try to put together the "canopy" alone and be VERY careful when drilling the screws in. If you go too fast you'll split the wood. If I could return this I would because I'm not sure it'll even last the summer because the canopy is so flimsy. Also on top of the wood splitting the canopy velcro doesn't line up, the bottom material just lays on the ground (which I find to be weird) so once the sand is in there you arent moving it, and lowering and rasing the top is a very precarious situation. I suggest you spend more money and buy a better version of this because I ended up gluing the top portion together just so it wouldn't fall apart. How did I get duped into buying this?! I stg it has waaaaay better reviews then it should have. Update 5/6/2023: The whole top has completely broken and will no longer stay up at all. To be clear this isnt just sitting out in the middle of the yard. I placed mine next to a shed so the wind wouldnt disturb it as mich when there was a storm. Really though it spent most of winter in the down position but I went to lift it up one day, and nope it's had it. It being able to be closed isn't super ideal either. I have to somehow figure out how to scoop all this sand out now because all kinds of bugs have decided to move into the sand pit so if you close it up for winter, figure out how to actually close it up. Or risk your kids getting bit by all sorts of things. This is legit an eyesore now. Spend more money and don't buy this garbage.

Not amazing
Giving it a 3 now because the wood is so soft it split building it. Unsure if it will last long. It is very cute. The canopy isn’t sturdy and tilts on its own.

Easy to Assemble great quality sandbox
I do not usually write reviews of products but was compelled to for this sandbox. I bought this for my grandchildren. The quality is excellent. It arrived in perfect condition. The instructions are very easy to follow. It can be assembled in an hour or less. I was impressed by the pre-drilled holes that lined up exactly as they should. There was no wood splitting during assembly. If you are looking for a good size, easy to build, good quality sand box, look no further. Put this in your cart and enjoy watching your grandchildren or children enjoy this sand box.

Good sandbox for price
Overall great sandbox for price. The awning is relatively thin but keeps the shade over it well. Did use a staple gun to reinforce the Velcro pieces and also to keep the lining in place for the sand on the inside of the box. Instructions were easy to follow and put together. Overall happy with purchase and kids have enjoyed it. Did purchase another tarp to go over during winter/rain.

It’s about as good as I expected it to be. It’s a good size for toddlers. Didn’t take too long to put together. But I realized after putting it together that it does not have a base so that was a bit of extra work getting some extra wood too put on the bottom. The quality of the wood was as expected it’s a little on the soft side, but you get what you pay for. I saw the reviews complaining about the smell, which to be honest I really didn’t mind kind of just smell like cedar. overall it’s good, but if I were to complain about anything, it would be about the ability to raise and lower the roof. It sticks a lot, and after a while, it starts to break apart because those upright pieces of wood have a groove in the middle and it doesn’t really leave much room before cracking. The other thing I would say it needs to be improved is the thickness of the wood because those little tiny screws that are used to secure The folding seats are just too small to be durable for any length of time. I used it for one summer and I would say it’s about halfway through its lifespan.

I love it so much!!! One of my best purchases this year! It’s good quality, sturdy, easy to build (maybe an hour), it looks gorgeous and super practical! I love the design! I’m so excited to add sand in it tomorrow! My son will have so much fun!

It looks great but so poorly made. The wood is cheap and horribly thing. It has broken so many places . It came chipped and broken in a lot of spots. And the wood has snapped in multiple places I’ve had to replace myself

The Aivituvin Kids Sandbox with Canopy is amazing! The foldable bench seats are super convenient and sturdy, and the retractable roof is a game-changer for sunny days. The size is perfect for multiple kids to play together, and the quality of the wood feels durable and well-made. Assembly was straightforward, and the included cover keeps everything clean when not in use. My kids love it, and it’s been the highlight of our backyard! Highly recommend!
