Operation is easy and Iโm amazed by the quality of the sound! With Covid-19, I have a home gym setup in my garage and this product makes working out without a headset fun. I crank up the volume to 8 on the echo dot and it makes it easier to get through a weight and aerobic workout. I highly recommend this product. Review: A MUST Have for any Echo Dot 3 - This is a portable speaker and a charger with a built in lithium battery for power, with no need to be AC plugged in when using your Dot 3..The Dot 3 sits tightly on top of this, and the echo dot can hear all commands.. The speaker below provides the audio and is NOT blocked or covered in any way..The volume is Noticeably MUCH more louder and Noticeably MUCH clearer, with the addition of 4 speakers (treble and bass),, within this portable battery and speaker/charger, especially when used outside on a patio or open outdoor spaces....so it server many purposes, and all positive in every way.

Good speaker...for the price. Check out the D3 for a smaller space.
I wanted a speaker that I could use in conjunction with my other Echos in the house. The idea for this one is that I could take it to the back yard or garage and keep it synced and playing the same music as the rest of the house. Unfortunately, none of the "good" speaker companies (e.g. Bose, UE Boom, JBL) make an alexa enabled speaker that you can add to mulit-room music groups yet. I know because I bought a UE Boom speaker first without doing enough research. So, I bought the GGMM D7. It seemed that with the larger speaker components (over the Echo Dot) and battery life, that it would be a good fit for what I wanted. Unfortunately, when I received it and put it next to a Dot, playing by itself, the Dot standalone was louder than the D7 at the same volume level. In order to get the D7 to produce sound at the same volume, it has to be 2 full increases over the Dot. If the Dot is at 5, the D7 is at 7 to produce the same volume. I was less than pleased. So, I also bought at GGMM D3. I thought that if the Dot was louder the D3 would be a cheaper, equally as good choice. Here's what I found: - At the adjusted for equivalence volume levels (5 on D3, 7 on D7), the speakers sounded exactly the same in smaller rooms. - At the top end, the D7 has much richer sound. This was key in the backyard. The D3 (Dot) didn't have enough depth of sound to carry. - Because the volume needs to be up higher on the D7 vs the D3, the battery life is severely different. The D7 died after 4-5 hours of use, while the D3 showed 50% battery still available. - The D7 doesn't have a battery level indicator, which makes it a little tough. In the end, I kept the D7 and returned the D3. They are both good products. For me, I wanted the option of depth of sound outdoors, which the D3 couldn't provide. The battery issue I can solve for.

Great great product for the price
Although I had some trouble with shipping, when this arrived I was very happy with it. It lasts longer than noted times with a full charge and sounds great on the patio, can get very loud if need be with no distortion, but we usually have it around mid to low volume. Looks great too. Also, the company took care of us with shipping issues and made sure we were happy customers, I would definitely buy other products from them!

Easy of use and setup
I have three of them on each floor of the house. Great sound and works perfect with Alexia Echo Dot.

Good Addition to the Echo Dot
Product functioned averagely when in use, slight static sound was noticeable when activating Alexa. Nonetheless, the set up was extremely easy and sound quality was pretty good (but if static annoys you consider other options).

Not bad
Itโs a good speaker for the price. Could be a little bit louder, but the sound quality is solid.

Volume is lower than dot alone; low hum in background when at rest
UPDATE: reduced to 1 star after no contact back from company after multiple weeks. The volume is significantly lower when in this device vs. just the dot alone. The website says "In addition, D7 speaker has much higher sound power than the device, triples the original volume." and this amazon page says "It not only meets customers' portable demand, but also enhances sound volume." Unfortunately, these claims are not true in the device that i received. I installed an app on my phone to verify i wasn't mistaken and tested the volume by setting the dot to Volume 5 and asking Alexa to sing me "Happy Birthday". Average sound level (from ~24 inches away) was ~55 db when Dot (V3) by itself, but volume dropped to ~45db when played and attached to the G7. I increased the volume of the device while inside the G7 to get to the same sound level, and it needed to be at volume 7 using the g7 vs. volume 5 for the same sound level by itself. This is a significant decrease in sound volume. I also had it plugged in near my bed and when the environment is quiet, it is noticeable that the G7 is putting off a low hum. If you want a permanent white noise machine in your room, this could be for you, otherwise it is unwanted noise. As for portability, it seems to work. The diameter is too big, but that is due to the v3 dot diameter. Unfortunately, it does make it difficult to carry one handed, even for big guy. more disappointment. For the good parts, it works. I can detach the v3 from the garage and carry it out back, and everything works. This is the outcome i was looking for, but sad that i have to give up sound volume, and have a too-big to carry device that hums, to get a Dot i can carry around. It seems that a better device would simply be power-only to the Dot, in a smaller package and let the Dot do its thing. now i'm just carrying around an extra big speaker that makes it less loud. I have also emailed the company directly to see if i have a broken unit. I will update if they think so.
