Bought for our bedroom as they are building houses directly behind us. Easy to apply, taking time to push the bubbles out. It was great that all the tools you needed came with the pack.I was doubtful after reading reviews, whether it would adhere for long. It's been up a month and no sign of the edges peeling. The trick is to cut it just inside the window pane so it doesn't stick to the rubber trim of the window frame. As you can see from the picture (bottom middle panel) it works perfectly as a privacy screen during the daytime. It makes such a difference to the temperature of the room too. Our bedroom is much cooler now as it reflects the heat back outside. When looking out from the inside, it does make the world look slightly darker than reality and there is a slight blur to the image but that doesn't bother us at all.

It works amazingly during the day which helps for street facing windows for that added privacy. It is easy enough to install and it comes with everything needed in the package (except the soapy water for spraying). I simply cannot fault the product, it’s worth the cost which is relatively inexpensive.

The "Volcanics One Way Window Film", was easy to install with the include tools.I had the 90cm width, wet both the window and film and it went on great and was easy to but out the bubbles.Included with the film was a squeegee, small water spray bottle and a trimming knife.

​I bought this 44.5 x 197CM silver mirrored roll for more privacy on my front door windows. The mirror effect on the outside is incredibly crisp during the day. From the street, it just looks like a sleek, reflective silver glass pane - nobody can see inside which is exactly what i wanted. From the inside looking out, you just get a comfortable, slightly tinted view. It doesn’t make the room dark or gloomy at all.To be honest I didnt find this easy to apply at all and had to do it twice on both window panels of the door and it still isnt perfect due to the cutability issues I had but unfortunately I didnt have enough to do it again but since this uses static cling instead of sticky, permanent adhesive, it is incredibly forgiving and hasn't peeled off at all. The bubbles are easy to get out by applying pressure using the tools provided. Because there's no glue, it won't ruin your glass. So if you're renting like myself or just want to take it down it pulls right off easily in seconds without leaving any sticky mess behind. Its not to thin amd the thickness is just right. I would say it is good value for money but you need patience to apply. Although my results wasnt perfect due to the cutability I am still happy with the outcome and it is doing what I need it to do.

These are so so. Firstly they took a long time to get to me and came on different days, with one never turning up.However, when they did arrive, they were well packaged and I liked the knife, spray and squeegee that were included. I found measuring and cutting and trimming to be a pain. By the last window, I was cutting to the window size and not doing all the trimming stuff which has a risk of scoring the glass.Don't do this on a big window on your own and don't do this on a sunny day. Use lots of soapy water, but remember that however well you cleaned the window, you probably didn't clean under the window seals and the film will find a way of sucking any (now dirty) water out of them. Also, don't get too worried by the odd bubble or crease. Most will go in 24 hours and to be honest I don't really notice the odd mark or bubble. Trying to get them all out is tough.Do NOT do this on double glazing. It doesn't make that clear and reading about it suggested it was okay. Its not and you're at risk of blowing your double glazing as the glass will get very hot due to the reflected sunlight. I've had one blow of the 6 I did. It was the largest and most sun affected one, but its certainly gone. It was an old window, so newer ones might be okay, but I'm not sure.That aside, the reflective film did lower the temperature of the room behind significantly. I was looking at high 20's rather than mid 40's during the recent heat wave. I could very easily feel the difference in the windows I'd done and the ones I'd not. There was ~10c difference in the protected areas and the unprotected areas. In future I will be getting windows that have this built in or film that you fit outside. I'll only use this stuff for single pane windows or windows that do not bake in the heat.

Waste of money. The product description makes several claims that, in my experience, do not match how the film performs in practice.Daytime privacy: The listing says the film creates a mirror-like effect for privacy during the day. However, I found that you can still see in as well as out, so it does not provide the level of privacy suggested.Static cling application: Although the product does not use adhesive, the description does not make it clear that both the window and the cling side need to be sprayed with soapy water before application.Heat reflection: The listing says the film reflects heat in summer and helps retain warmth in winter. When sunlight hits the film, it becomes extremely hot compared with nearby untreated windows. Now, I’m no Einstein but, as I understand the science, if a surface is hot the heat will radiate back into the room making it hotter. I will have to wait until winter to judge the warmth-retention claim. If the warmth-retention claim proves true, that would at least be one point in the product’s favour. Either way, I will then remove the film and throw it away.UV protection: I cannot confirm how effective the UV protection is. The window does appear dimmer than the others, but that alone does not prove the claim.Installation kit: The manual explains the more laborious application process only after opening the product. The film was difficult enough to apply that I needed help. The included cutting knife feels flimsy and unsafe, and the small squeegee is not particularly useful.

I wanted to get a beautiful tint to cover my window, not all the way to the top but same level as the neighbours houses because I couldn't leave my window open without people being able to look into my entire room. Now I can have my window open with privacy!!!!I've had a look from the outside myself, I wish it was slightly more tinted but no one would be able to make out what's inside of your room, only like a silhouette of a person. Thats with my lights on, which is pretty amazing!I'll test it with someone standing there and update you guys.Otherwise it's pretty perfect! Can't wait to see it when the sun shines through it!!! I've never done a tint before, watching "How to install window film" from Bunnings helped a LOT !!! It was really easy and perfect!!! Thank you!!!

Have four narrow windows along my front door that need privacy. This may work with large windows however for thinner windows give it a miss.

If you take 1 piece of advice from this, it’s I highly recommend getting a film application kit, or at the very least have something flat you can use to press out water and bubbles, such as an old credit card etc. I am very happy with the final look on my windows, though I will say my one piece of advice when applying is, try and cut it as close to the window size as possible. I didn’t get any instructions with mine, however I found a video on YouTube with how to apply it. The instructions tell you to leave a 1 inch excess around the edges and then cut with a knife, however I struggled cutting the excess. You can very easily scratch the frame and the window itself, so be wary if you are a renter. And just as it states in the listing, it is not privacy film. You can still see in and out it clearly if you are close enough. Does it blend a little bit and give some privacy? Yes, but don’t rely on it to be completely private. The rainbow effect is such a nice bonus, it adds a little something when it’s sunny out.
