This volume is slimmer than the other two. It is full of suggestions of specific forms for the four temperaments. As such, it satisfies the intention of the book, giving inspiration for forms that meet each of the temperaments.I did have to bump down a star due to the unfortunate presentation of the temperaments as something that each of us *are*. This is one of the myths of temperaments that I think can get confusing to folks. A more accurate depiction is to say that we each have all four temperaments within us, tending to have one dominate, especially in childhood, but with the goal of greater integration as we mature. Many adults have a hard time honing in on “being ONE temperament”, but that’s as it should be! And sometimes I think it does our students a disservice to refer to them as “a choleric” when they are, simply, dominated by their choleric temperament. It should not remain as an immovable element of their identity for life.I also was a bit disappointed that there were not more ideas given for working in the classroom with these different forms. Are we meant to give the whole classroom a form meant for melancholics? How could a teacher thoughtfully incorporate these myriad of temperament-specific forms into their weekly lessons? Those are questions I’ve had that, sadly, this book didn’t answer.As the rest of Lord’s FD books, this one is full of gorgeous, saturated illustrations and lots of creative forms.
