Really enjoyable and super convenient. The Yopokki Instant Tteokbokki cups are a great way to get that chewy rice cake texture without needing to make it from scratch. The onion butter flavor is rich and slightly savory with a mild sweetness, and it feels a bit more mellow compared to some of the spicier versions. The rice cakes come out nice and soft after heating, and it’s a quick, satisfying snack or light meal. I’d definitely get these again when I want something easy and different from instant noodles. Taste great. Creamy buttery onion with some garlic bits. Great packaging for a quick meal at the office or snack where you have a microwave or kettle.

This flavor is delicious. Smooth buttery, with the right amount of seasoning. In my opinion if your trying Tteokbokki for the first time I recommend this flavor. I’d compare it to a similar and better version of chicken top ramen; with the texture of the noodles enhancing them overall. The noodles are somewhat chewy (because they’re made with rice), and in my opinion is not heavy or robust. With the portion and texture I think they are better suited for a simple mid day snack.

I wanted to try Tteokbokki because in the first episode of "Squid Game", the main character bought them for her daughter at a vendor. I decided I would try it for myself. I'm no stranger to trying foods from all over the world, but I was certainly a stranger to many Korean foods. I received two boxes of the Onion Butter Tteokbokki. The flavor of the seasoning is so amazing! Unfortunately the noodles themselves are very squishy and chewy, for some reason very hard for me to enjoy. They don't soak up the seasoning all that well in my opinion. I have no idea why people are calling this "spicy". I braced myself thinking I would need milk and tissues nearby, but they were fine- very flavorful yes! Unfortunately they don't seem to be my cup of tea, are all Tteokbokki this tough and hard to chew? Perhaps I'm too used to pasta noodles.. I'll try this food again, maybe from a traditional resturant near me. As for the value of what you get, I feel the price is a bit steep for just two cups of this stuff- I'm glad I was able to try a small amount instead of a large quantity nonetheless.

The price of these are on par for what you’d pay at your local Asian market, unlike some products sold on Amazon. I find a lot of instant rice cake products to be hit or miss, but these ones are a hit!! The onion butter flavor is really good, and you can definitely add some spices, produce, etc. if you want to spruce it up, too. I’ll definitely be buying these again.

It's easy enough to cook but I don't see a lot of people talking about the flavor. It has a subtle butter taste, no spice at all and has a sweet onion taste. It's okay, but def not my favorite of the line. I'll stick with the cheese one

This is the BEST brand to try Yopokki from! Don’t try any other. It’s fresh, the rice cakes are thin enough to where they aren’t overly chewy and thick. Cook fast and evenly, the flavor is always just right! I added ramen noodles, honey, and wild hog sausage to mine and it was the best, my favorite is still ‘Sweet and Mild Spicy’ but this was yummy as well. Highly recommend. It’s what you’d expect and more.
