Great game!
Love this game! Great for teaching young ones that losing is all part of the fun, and practice makes perfect. Well, not perfect but better! Well built, batteries included, easy to use.

Classic game - fun for all the family
Was a really good present and is fun for all the family and all ages! Different sound modes and also a silent mode meaning you don’t have to disrupt everyone when playing. It was a really good price and easy to get started and play straightaway.

Fun but not as sturdy as it used to be.
This is a great recall game that’s been around for a while. I remember playing it when I was young so with that in mind I purchased it for my grandchildren. I was sad to see here have been a few alterations since which, in my opinion, affect its enjoyment. Previously this game was more sizeable which made it weightier. Adjusting the size and hence the weight does make it more portable for individual lap playing but if you’re competitive like my family (which is the best way to play it, in my opinion) and sit around it in a group with it resting on the table or floor; it’s too light and slides about. There is now no separate ‘off’ button on the base, having been replaced by just using the main light buttons. This frustratingly means it can get accidentally turned on while putting it away for storage.Lastly, there needs to be a dampener of some kind behind the buttons. They make a hollow sound as they’re being pressed which I usually notice and associate with cheaper products. I’m sure a piece of light weight foam or similar would go a long way in solving this and wouldn’t add much to the weight.I really don’t understand how these things pass approval before manufacturing when it lowers the standard of the product. In conclusion, it’s still a fun game but it needs these issues corrected to warrant 5 stars from me.

Great fun with the kids at Christmas and brings back memories of a time when I was a lot younger

Brilliant! My grandson loves it.
A "Retro" game that our daughter used to play many years ago. We got this for our 9 year old grandson and he loves it. He did well on his first attempt and has spent ages pushing his score as high as he can and beating his older brother. The fact that the sound can be muted is excellent!

Still good, but lacks some '70's fun
This version of Simon is similar to the original, which I had as a child. Sadly, after years of regular use, it finally stopped working. The new model is a bit smaller and much thinner, but is a good size to use and is also reasonably portable. It only has one game and no levels. The old one had a choice of levels and had an individual and a competitive game. This version just lets you continue with the sequence as long as you can. This is fine for what I wanted- I bought it to keep my brain active. It would have been nice to have the choice of levels, though- I used to enjoy completing a sequence, but now you never complete, it just ends when you make a mistake, so it's based on failure rather than success. I would also have enjoyed the competitive game, as I used to play this on my own, as well as with my family - when a mistake was made, that colour was out and you could continue with the others until one colour was left. It's worth the price I paid, but, as it's been simplified, it's not worth the RRP. It's supposed to tell you your longest sequence, but it just repeats it so rapidly you can't count how many you got. The green light is supposed to give you your score, but it seems to flash a random number of times. The other problem with mine is that, if I have the sound on ( which I don't usually, so I can play it when my husband is in the room without disturbing him), the blue sound makes a strange vibrating noise, which is annoying. Still a very good game, but it has gone backwards from the '70's, rather than having improved with modern technology.
