Better than new!
Gear S3 Frontier Tumi Edition was down for about a year but I missed it so much, I took the risk of doing the repair myself. It's was pretty easy as long as your careful and take your time! (FYI... The plastic blue tool was pretty cheaply made but it did manage to complete the job... Bairly!) Once completed, I threw it on the charger and it came back to life! Not only did it fix the issue, but I've had better battery life throughout the day than when it was a brand new watch! What use to last almost a day, gets me about a day and a half. And that does include wearing it to bed to track sleep! Definitely Recommend trying it out!

Substantially better charge performance
My Gear S3 Frontier was down to charging every night, so I figured a battery swap was worth attempting before retiring the watch. The battery itself delivered. Getting it in is another matter. Package was small and arrived undamaged. A tool kit is included, but the Phillips head was too small for the screws I ran into and I ended up using my own. There are also no instructions in the box at all, which is worth knowing before you start. (I found many videos online though that clearly showed how to repalce this battery.) I have experience with small electronics and computer builds, and I still watched two different videos before touching the watch, then played each step back as I went. This repair has real consequences if something goes wrong — one slipped tool on the wrong connector and the watch is done. I used a magnifying glass and extra light throughout, though that's probably more on my eyesight than the kit. The battery itself seated perfectly once I got there. Fit was exact, connector went into place fairly easily. Three days in and the results are obvious. I was charging nightly before the swap. After a full charge I ran it for three days and was still at 58%. That's a real turnaround. Pros - Battery fit exactly, connector seated clean - Dramatic improvement in charge life - Compact packaging, no damage on arrival - Tool kit covers most of what you need Cons - No instructions included — YouTube or some other source for a instruction video is mandatory, not optional - Included Phillips head too small; have your own ready (one from an eyeglass repair kit should work) - High-risk repair, one mistake and the watch is done Final Verdict The battery delivers on its promise and the improvement in charge life is significant. But go in with eyes open: this is not a casual swap. If you have steady hands, patience, and some electronics experience, it's worth it. If you have any doubts, a phone or watch repair shop is money well spent compared to replacing the watch.

Awesome fit
I've been in the market for a smartwatch for a while. I am very picky about the design and functionality. I love the look of the Samsung gear s3, just something about being able to spin the bezel reminds me about some of the watches I had when I was younger. So I was super stoked to find one one here on Amazon in the renewed section. Unfortunately this is an older model and was in acceptable condition but a steal at just 36.00. I noticed that the battery had a hard time keeping a charge and it would die within a few hours. Looking for accessories I found this replacement battery. It was pretty cheap and came with the tools to change it. It was not too difficult and took about 20 minutes start to finish to change. The hardest part for me was getting the back off without damaging the wires. Then putting it back together correctly. I would recommend taking some pictures before and during the process just to make it easier putting it back together. There is nothing solder it all just snapped back together easily. Put it on the charger and now it works better then ever and being 520ma the battery last almost twice as long. The only additional tools I use was a flat head screwdriver to gently pry the back off and a magnifying glass to be able to see the wire connections better. So now I'm into my watch for about 50bucks and absolutely love it.

400mAh, not 520mAh
The battery is a 400mAh battery even though the website description is 520mAh. It also arrived with a sticky side that had debris stuck to it, so it's likely this was a previously returned item. I do not recommend this product.

Works Like a Charm
I have an old Samsung Gear S3 Frontier watch and after years of wear, the battery would no longer charge. I took it to a repair shop that does electronics repair. They said the price of replacing the battery would be about $125 but their problem was an inability to get the battery I needed. DUH? I watched a couple of YouTube videos and then ordered this replacement battery and kit for less than $20. Replacing the battery was not rocket science. I am a 71 year old woman and I managed. My watch is now as good as new.

Good battery!
Easy replacement. I watched a video on you tube. New battery lasted just under 3.5 days. Been consistent battery life over 2 charge cycles thus far. Ill update if that changes over the next couple months.

Doesn't work! But good service from seller to resolve the problem.
UPDATE 7/2/21 [original review below - battery didn't work for me] The seller contacted me a few days ago and offered a replacement or refund. Having already replaced the watch, I opted for a refund. They were helpful and processed the refund within a couple of days. Given their good service, I would take the risk of getting a bad battery. Just be very careful when you take the watch apart, it's very fiddly with several tiny screws. And if it doesn't work, contact the seller immediately! Original Review Well, I'm crushingly disappointed. My Gear S3 is about 3.5 years old and the battery was barely making it through the day. I delayed buying this replacement battery because many of the negative reviews said that the replacement was no better. But eventually I needed one so got this one as it has the best reviews. And it has not helped at all - in fact I'd say the replacement is worse than the original old batter was. I've had the new one in for about a week, and use the watch to track activities most days. The battery was consistently down to 15% (low warning) by early evening. Today I decided to try without tracking, and by 1pm (about 6 hours of use) the watch just died with 0% battery. I foolishly threw away the original battery so can't even put that back. I'd return the product but it's not worth the hassle (replacement is quite fiddly), and I don't have another battery anyway! So now the watch has gone from somewhat usable to not really usable at all. Doing the replacement was fairly straightforward but quite fiddly - take your time and take care! The only issues I had were that the plastic philips screwdriver in the kit is useless, the tip rounded immediately - so make sure you have a decent one before starting. Secondly the new battery is very fractionally larger than the old one so didn't quite fit into the tray properly. But there's enough clearance that I was able to reassemble the watch. Overall I would say do not replace the battery unless the watch is not usable otherwise, and be prepared for no improvement.

Battery depleted quickly.
Unfortunately the battery seems to be depleting quickly, almost no change with the old one. Initially I thought it might be a problem with charging for the 1st time and it would get better afterwards. This did not happen however and the watch dies everyday early in the afternoon. I recharge it overnight and in the morning it shows 100% but it will die after 7- hours. When I got the watch, one charge was good for almost three days or more.
