What a Phenomenal Book, Randy Leffingwell capture every piece of information on a Porsche 911 since 1964, plus add phenomenal photo to match. There are 329 pages to this amazing book. What I really like is all the photo's, totally beautiful. This is a great Coffee Table book, but again a great fact book

I've only read a few pages and I'm loving this, simple with great pictures, good quality book. Text is simple, interesting and explanatory, no small talk and unnecessary attempt at banter, straight to the point history and small tech, perfect for anyone that wants to know their 911.Only problem is that this book ends at the 2010 model of the 911, this is 2014, needs to be updated!

My wife gave this to me. I like this book. I like these big "coffee table" style books that have nice, big high resolution pictures. However, the descriptions of the cars isn't as complete as I would like. It would appear that the author didn't (or couldn't) really do deeper dives into each car. I.e. - how the hell can I know more about some of the cars when I didn't even own those specific models? Maybe I should write a more complete book?

So, I was invited to the Porsche experience in Torrance and subsequently rented a 911. My exotic of choice for a very long time was a Lamborghini and then the Ferrari 458 Italia after an exotic driving experience where I drove a Murcielago as well as the aforementioned 458. Like many dreamers I have read about maintenance of these vehicles and appreciate they are more for show than go. Interestingly, during the exotics driving the guide in the car said the closest thing to a 458 that wasn't as expensive was a 911 4s. I got to drive one of those and that was amazing. Furthermore, a little bit of research will easily reveal that if you want to drive a sports car every day Porsche is the only option. That is good because they are amazing vehicles, after driving one for just a few hours, I read a book about them. If you care, like I do then you will enjoy this:)

I purchased this book for a friend's birthday - he absolutely loved it. Particularly fond of Porsches, I knew that he would appreciate the content - the evolution of the Porsche is greatly detailed as you progress through the book, beautiful imagery coupled with informative text will oblige any car lover. This makes for a great coffee table book or go-to-guide if you need to reference a specific year.

I was looking for an index style book on porsches. Something that would chronologically list each and every 911 ever made with a little paragraph and mechanical and statistical data. What I got was a very well written book and informative boook on the history of the 911 and the various models. But it's a book better read from cover to cover and not a reference guide where you can easily look up a model and year and read about that specific car. It's still a great book though and well worth the price tag.

Compliments my knowledge of the marque and educates my insight into my model year (1989 C4 ). Quality through out and engages the imagination and mind to all things sports car and Porsche driving by design. Bought it for a novelty of sorts and to gain any facts along the way, not disappointed in either case, it's easy to 'just look at' or in depth to read. Beautiful prints.

With Porsche's 901 and later variants spanning 50 years, this book is a useful overview with high quality photography. However if you have a special interest in a specific model (i.e. 911, 912, 923, 930, 959, 964, 991, 993, 996, 997) or year, or if you are interested in the history of the Porsche company during these years, or restoration guidelines, you will need additional book(s) with expanded text and documentation.

I purchased this book for my Husbands birthday and was most surprized by the quality of the book, content and photo's.With most Porsche books, unless they are expensive 'coffee table' books I find they are all cover and no content, this book is an exception to the rule. - Great buy, lovely book, fab gift. - Highly reecommended to those women out there who need a gift for their car crazy men.
