I was also nervous because of the light weight that it wouldn’t offer enough cushion. That was also an unwarranted fear. It’s every bit and cushiony as the heavier mats I use. The color is great (I bought the pink because I was looking for something bright and uplifting).I’ve used this mat in moderate hatha and vinyasa classes and had no problem with slipping. In the one class I took where I got really heated up there was minor slipping, but I’m someone who’s hands and feet get sweaty.
