Cass well, I am not a great caster but I think it went a bit further than my previous rod. Made of carbon fibre so it is quite thin and seems to be more sensitive yet still very strong. Caught a very small ray with it (first time out - after half hour so was happy) - although nothing else all day!! Point is I saw the bite from a small fish and the rod performed well.
