Previous owner stored it in non optimal conditions and long lived rust began to pit the blades, the bolsters were corroded, poor little knife has had a hard life. My first treatment of the rust brought 50% off the knife. The second treatment? I used an old toothbrush and gently worked the cleaner into the rusted areas of the knife and poof!!! Rust is gone!! My stainless steal grill had rust, oxidation stains. I tried white vinegar and baking soda (joke!). This product worked with the following steps: I mixed the rust cleaner with baking soda (50/50) to thicken it so it would stay on the surfaces. I let sit for 5-10 mins. I scrubbed it off with a rough sponge (almost brillo like but not as scratchy). After rinsing - I used a stainless cleaner/polish. Most of the rust came off and I am quite happy! Before and after pics.
