Perfection! Lightweight and delicious
Far tastier than anticipated! This is my go-to brand for camping chow. Super lightweight and surprisingly delicious! A bit pricey but absolutely worth it. Shelf life is measured in decades, so if you catch a sale, stock up!!

One of my favorite backpacking meals
I always bring at least one of these on each backpacking trip. It's easy to mix, forgiving of inexact water measurement, and tastes quite good (unlike many freeze-dried meals).

Delicious trail food
This was like a five-star meal after my very strenuous hike into camp a couple weeks ago. I was so hungry and I wasn't sure if I was going to like this. I mean it is a dehydrated meal. How good can it be, but you'd be amazed at how good anything tastes when you're out on the trail. Honestly, even if I wasn't hiking, I'd say this was a good meal and tasted good. I unfortunately added too much water so it was a bit more like a soup which is not a bad thing necessarily still tasted good. The noodles were done all the way and I just got a little bit of extra hydration from it. It's a very good meal. Highly recommend if you have the room in your pack.

Perfect taste, texture, and serving
I've tried several of Mountain House's camping meals, this is probably one of my favorites. With freeze-dried camping meals there's often a tradeoff between convenience and shelf life for taste. This is one instance where I didn't feel a tradeoff at all. If you can follow extremely simple instructions, then in about 10 minutes, including time to boil water, you can be eating a delicious spaghetti meal. Sometimes when you make a camping meal you end up with too much excess moisture or the ingredients don't reconstitute well. Not the case with this one. The pasta was tender, the sauce had just the right thickness, there were even a few chunks of recognizable tomatoes. The sauce had just the right taste to it, not necessarily a homemade marinara sauce, more like out of a jar. But I grew up on that stuff so this meal had me feeling pretty nostalgic. The package says 2 servings but I consumed it all for myself and felt sufficiently full. Some people may not care for the fact that the spaghetti noodles have been trimmed down to 1-2 inch pieces rather than long strands, but it doesn't impact the flavor or the texture and I'm sure it is done to simplify the packaging process. If you're a fan of spaghetti with marinara sauce that tastes like it came from the grocery store like me, then I highly recommend you give this one a try.

Fuel for the miles and tasty to boot
A must have for car-camping\ backpacking if you like spaghetti and meat sauce--a little bulky in terms of volume but can be squished down a bit and it's lightweight, coming in at about 4.25 oz. I can fit 3-4 of these in a 60L pack, depending on how I'm kitting out and if I'm car camping there's no problem. Freeze-dried is well worth it for ease of preparation--boil some water, mix it, done. Obviously, the pasta is wheat; but no dairy as far as I know. if you're going solo, it's a 2-serving meal, so plan appropriately (I generally eat these meals for breakfast or lunch); and bring some crushed red pepper to spice it up! The sauce is fine on its own, but I'm a chili head...

Nice, easy meals to keep around
My son loves this particular camp meal lol! I keep a few hanging around for camping, fishing, snack, or just in case we get a wild hair and go on an adventure that takes longer than expected. Don't expect momma to be happy eating these all the time but the kids... Oh they think it's gourmet!
