**Update 3 years in** I wrote this review in 2022, after I had these for about 16 months and as I'm here BUYING ANOTHER SET in 2024, I thought I owed the company an update since they treated me so well, (my original review is unchanged below). UPDATE May 2024: I've had this pair since Feb 2021 and use them almost daily for hours at a time. Last night, they decided to retire and stopped working. This is no fault to the headphones, as I have logged over 3 years of use on a ps5 for both gaming and media. So I have just placed an order for a new set. I have had zero issues over the last 3 years, (they even recovered from the Destructo attack of my son almost 2 years), and could recommend them more. I am also increasing my rating to 5 stars because of how well they have treated me. I am pleased to see they are still available and haven't been discontinued. This is a no doubt must buy over any other model or brand. -- (Below is original review) I bought these in Feb 2021 initially as a headset mainly for steam but also to backup my PS4/5 Sony Golds (they aren't Pulse 3D), but I quickly moved to only using these for PS5. APPEARANCE: the camo is very slick and I cabinet them when I'm not playing so no clash with the PS5 blanco FIT: I've got kind of a big head I guess, wear hats 7 1/4 and usually have glasses on when playing and the fit is pretty good. They fit snug with good compression over you ears that cancels noise a bit better than the PS4/5 gold. The cord plugs into the controller of course so I wouldn't want it any longer for sure. SOUND: you won't think you have Cowin or Beats on because the range doesn't compare but you won't notice. I play almost daily and I am not disappointed whatsoever. I also use them to watch movies/shows including Narcos, Loki, Mandolorian, Marvel, etc and the quality is not lost. VOICE SOUND: I've asked and have been told I sound clear and chat comes in clear. CONTROLS: what's nice about this over the PS Gold is that the mic arm folds back flush with the head phones which mutes the mic. In some games, the PS5 controller mute button will mute all audio instead of just the mic. There's only one volume control, so no independent chat control. Also, unlike the PS Gold headset, when this headset is plugged in, it doesn't auto-mute your sound system, so you'll have to manually turn it down to stop concurrent audio. DURABILITY: the photo attached was taken June 2022, 16 months after purchase with semi-daily use. I play and/or watch 5-7 nights a week for 2-4 hours a night, give or take and that's how they held up. My prior PS4 Gold headset before my current one looked like chop suey in the same amount of time. My Cowin headset (for Bluetooth audio on non-gaming devices), gets daily use as well and is barely holding on and I think Cowin is the best out there. I do think these are very durable EVEN THOUGH the audio jack has the fated audio fade with positioning. They still work and I don't know whether to fault the headphones wear and tear OR my son's Mr Incredible reenactment with them a week ago, (the problem started same night so probably me son). PRICE: a steal, plain and simple. Look at the above to confirm. I wouldn't buy any other headset if you're not going all out for a $100+ set. OVERALL: I'm writing this review as I am perusing Amazon for a new headset to replace these due to the issue above, even though my PS Gold are in "perfect" working order, which says a lot. The quality of this set has me deeply pondering getting this over the Pulse 3D not only for the price but also the performance compared to the PS Gold sets I've owned.

I got these for my son to use with his PS5. They work great. He says they feel comfortable to wear and there is no distortion at all. He can hear other players and gaming activity clearly and other players can also hear him clearly. He is very happy with them. And the price compared to some of the others is very nice. He also loves the camo color as it matches his controller. These also plug directly into the controller so that is convenient as well. Great buy.

The Turtle Beach Recon 70 delivers impressive sound for a budget headset, with deep game audio and comfy ear pads that make long sessions easy. It feels sturdy enough to handle some rage quits, and the plug and play setup works across consoles without a fuss. The only catch is the tiny little mic that looks like it’s doing its best but could use a bit more reach. Still, for the price, it’s a solid headset that punches above its weight in sound and comfort. I've only used them for 2 days. My primary use is zoom meetings and screen recording for video lessons. The sound is good for my bed and the microphone works well so far. I am being gentle with them to ensure the mic doesn't break but seems stable enough. I like the over all design and they are light weight. I wear glasses so after a while the ear cups get uncomfortable, but any set would do this. Otherwise they feel comfortable.

They have an echo. So I can’t even use them. I ordered it as a Christmas gift. They are cute but there’s an echo. They are loud when playing games where you need to hear footsteps. But if you don’t want people complaining then I wouldn’t buy.

Great for gaming. I’ve used these on a PC and with my Xbox series S. Works great for communicating with my friends. The mic that flips up to mute is a nice feature as well and the volume control scroll wheel on the side of the ear is great but sometimes adjusts when I’m taking them on or off

I don’t normally write reviews for products but these headphones are pretty dope. These are my first pair of gaming headphones so I’m no connoisseur by any stretch.. but I saw some mixed reviews on these which lowkey made me hesitant to purchase so thought I’d chime in. Personally, I’d recommend them. They work just fine and the sound is pretty great. For the price I wasn’t expecting BOSE or anything but definitely exceeded my expectations. I’m really into the depth of the base and these definitely do the trick. The volume switch is also on the back of the left headphone so maybe those who say the volume doesn’t work after a few days just need to turn that up? Idk. Overall I’m pretty happy with these. I play fortnite on my switch usually and sometimes I can’t tell if the sounds are from the game or outside my house.. that’s how decent these headphones are. Got the navy camo, they look so good. 5 stars.
