Poorly Drawn Lines: Good Ideas and Amazing Stories

A must have if you love the web comic series at poorlydrawnlines.com. This book is so much fun and full of brilliant and intelligently funny comics. The characters are original and full of personality. The art and writing in this book is really smart and so enjoyable to read and look at. You will actually laugh-out-loud when you read these comics, they are hilarious, however, I must warn you that some of the writing and art in these comics are a bit graphic so I would not recommended this book for young children. I don't want to spoil anything by giving examples so just Buy this book now, you won't regret it!

I love this author and his comics on Reddit and Instagram. My little brother and my husband are both fans also, so this was a perfect Christmas stocking stuffer. The book is so funny and comes packed with comics, many of which we haven't seen already. I keep this book on our end table for guests to thumb through while we're cooking and almost all of them have laughed after only a few pages. Super fun to have.

These are my favorite comics ever, they are so funny. Although I follow the artist on Instagram and can see them for free, I also like buying the book to support the artist. If you enjoy the comics, I would 100% buy the book to support the artist.

This book was a must-have holiday gift for select friends and family members this year (and it's still on my "I want one!" list, 'cos nobody got me one, boo). Reza has a wry sense of humor that I really enjoy. The drawings may be simple, but the comedic punches and observations on life are spot-on. Taking animals, funny people, hilarious stories. Appeals to Gen Xers and Millenials alike. Not for little kids or people who don't prefer a little cussing, though! Thanks, Reza!

The art is simplicity at it's finest, the scenarios are bizzare, and the wit is oh so sharp! Much to my surprise, there are several short stories and essays in this collection, and they are exquisite! Finding them as enjoyable as I did, they were a pleasant diversion from the stellar illustrated material.

I like the dark but simple comics in Reza's POORLY DRAWN LINES. The humor and oddball situations mix beautifully with the straightforward art style, which is absolutely the right choice. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because the book description said the book was a collection of comics and essays, so I was hoping to see some of Reza sharing his creative process instead of humorous story vignettes. Definitely an enjoyable book and I look forward to future collections.

Oh my gosh, this book. There were so many times I had to put it down, wait until I stopped laughing, then look to the sky and say, "This is SO f***ing funny!" I loved it from first page to last. I'm giving copies to my funny friends, I'm re-reading it. This book just makes me happy, and it will make you happy too. It's so f***ing funny.

Poorly Drawn Lines is perfect if you love dry humor as much as I do. This book is very high quality and includes some bonus content (great if you've already read everything online). This would be a great little gift for someone with an offbeat sense of humor!

This is one of those things that you enjoy over and over again. I have been following the blog for a long time. Just wanted to support the artist. I have purchased all his creations available on Kindle. I find the humor and wit in his cartoons unparalleled in current times. It is just amazing.

Als Langzeit-Fan des Webcomics stand es für mich sofort fest, dass ich mit dem Kauf dieses Buches nichts falsch machen kann. Ich bin einfach begeistert! Obwohl ich mich sofort darauf gestürzt habe, als es angekommen ist, war ich erstaunt wie viel Zeit ich damit verbracht habe, bis ich es durchgelesen hatte. Trotzdem liegt es jetzt nicht nur bei mir herum, ich verleihe es an alle möglichen Freunde (ob sie wollen oder nicht, nachher sind die meisten begeistert :D) und wenn ich es zwischendurch noch einmal in den Händen halte und eine zufällige Seite aufschlage, freue ich mich immernoch genausoviel darüber, wie am Anfang. Dazu bleibt allerdings noch zu sagen, dass der Humor relativ speziell ist. Wem also "Poorly Drawn Lines" noch kein Begriff ist... Einfach bei Freund Google eingeben und ein bisschen durch den Webcomic browsen. Denn auch wenn ich begeistert von diesem Buch bin, ich weiß nicht, ob es uneingeschränkt für jeden empfohlen werden kann. Aber wer der englischen Sprache mächtig ist und diesen eben ziemlich seltsamen Humor hat, sollte es lieben!

Ya era fan del webcomic, asi que ya sabía que estilo de humor esperar, pero me sorprendió la calidad del libro, la impresión e incluso el tacto del material sobre el que esta impreso. Aparte de que es una manera para que el creador peciba algo por su contenido.

Il ramo della comicità nonsense, specialmente sotto forma di fumetto, si è diffusa moltissimo negli ultimi anni. Per chiunque ami questo genere non posso non consigliare questa raccolta (con inediti) di strisce e fumetti. Reza è semplicemente geniale. A volte si rimane basiti di fronte a certe vignette, ma in ogni caso ce ne sono una manciata che "valgono il prezzo del biglietto" da sole, come se ce ne fosse ulteriore bisogno. Che dire, se masticate un po' di inglese sono soldi ben spesi. Per altro la raccolta si presenta stampata con qualità gradevole.
