TRS The Recovery Shirt Soft Mastectomy Shirts with Drain Pockets Velcro Closures Port Access Must Have Recovery Clothing Blue

I bought the pink and found it so comfortable I also bought the blue and black. I lived in these shirts through my 4 months of chemo, as they have easy velcro openings for exam purposes. The fabric is soft and comfortable against my chemo dried skin. My bilateral & axial dissection surgery followed chemo and these shirts were soft and perfect for handeling all 4 drains. I lived in them day and night with great comfort. I found them roomy enough to be comfortable without being sloppy, while easily bearing the weight of the 4 drains. They became my pajama top as well after surgery, aiding in peace of mind that the drains were secure while I slept. I am scheduled to do 6 weeks of radiation and plan to use them for the ease the velcro closures will give for office exams. I machine wash them, inside out, with all velcro fastened, in warm water on delicate. Grateful for them as they made every day easier.

I can not tell you how excited I was about this shirt...but it is bad. The nylon fabric looks great but we are talking about velcro fasteners...lots of velcro fasteners. It is literally impossible not to snag the fabric with the velcro. Being very careful due to other reviews, I’ve worn the shirt twice and have so many big ugly snags I will not wear out of the house. Oh and the pockets...again a great idea that doesn’t work. Drains are seldom long enough to reach the pockets.Amazon sells a cheap adjustable belt with pockets For like $12 that works because you can move it up or down to fit your personal needs.Please seriously don’t waste the money.

This shirt helped me through double mastectomy recovery. I really found the Velcro closure to be much easier to manage than snaps or buttons. The material was thick enough that my recovery corset wasn't obvious beneath it. The only "problem" I had was the drain pockets were placed at the bottom of the shirt. This meant the drains hung a bit awkwardly around the hemline and made the shirt bulge. It also pulled the collar of the shirt forward and down, revealing the top of my recovery corset, gauze, etc. If the pockets were reinforced, located differently, this would probably be avoided. I'm still very glad to have had it and got lots of compliments from medical staff about it.

I wanted so much to like this, but it was just okay. The concept was great but I always wear a large and despite many recommends of these being a bit large mine was actually rather small. And the neck felt quite small so I had to have a friend tack (sew) the collar tips down to open it so I could be comfortable after a major surgery for breast tumors (2 lbs tissue off each side, 600 stitches, 6 hr surgery- drainage tubes, etc). I was disappointed, and especially for the money as it snagged on everything. I really needed and wanted a good quality item during this expensive, difficult time but instead got something that didn't work for me. I wasn't in a position to sit up and contact seller and argue to return a worn item, so I am posting a review now. I am not trying to insult anyone- if this works for you, terrific- I just put a lot of hope into this shirt and it fell flat and cost me a lot.What did work for me was a short sleeve zip front French terry shirt I found online. It had a collar (I was hoping for one without) but that worked fine. It even turned out to have inside pockets- someone could make a fortune making a pattern off the shirt I have lived in for the past 6 weeks, it's a winner.

This shirt is an absolute must have for women who are having a mastectomy...I don't know what I would have done without it! The pockets that hold the drains are big...I had 4 drains when I left the hospital and the pockets held all 4 with room for a few more, if needed. It was reassuring to know the drains were secure and I had no fear of them falling out or getting caught on something and being pulled out. It was hard for me to tell by the picture, but the material is very soft and lightweight. I did have some leakage from the drains and the incisions and the material proved to be very absorbent. Although I knew I would need the shirt for only two weeks, I bought two shirts...one to sleep in and one to wear for daytime. The Velcro held up nicely even through the wash. Many hospital staff members commented what an awesome shirt for mastectomies...they had never seen a patient have one like this. If you or a loved one is having a mastectomy, I highly recommend this shirt...it would make a great gift also!!

I had order this shirt before I had a bilateral mastectomy done in October 2017 to have something that I could wear home from the hospital. This was the best investment I could have made for myself to help in my recovery process. The pockets inside the shirt help to keep the drainage tubes in the a comfortable position so they were not in my way, and I did not have to worry about pinning the draining tubes to my clothing. The Velcro front made it easy to put on and take off shirt by myself.

My sister just had a bilateral mastectomy, and I ordered this shirt to assist her for when she went home. This shirt is working out really well for her. The pockets on the inside of the shirt are really nice to hold the drains. It is so much nicer than having them rest against her body. The velcro closure makes it easy to put on and take off. And the material is really light, which is nice as she experiences hot flashes. Thanks for creating a shirt that will be so helpful in her recovery.

This shirt is amazing! Seriously. I am big on reviews so it's very important for me to be honest. If you have a surgery coming up and you will have drains please do yourself a huge favor and order this shirt.I order an XL and it fits me perfect. The arms fit comfortably it's doesn't have that nasty grip. It's super loose, comfortable and spacious! I had 4 drains and they fit great. No tugging no worries. I order the pink and it goes perfect with any bottoms. I wore my shirt to an appointment and my surgeon and staff said it was the perfect shirt to be in!! I can go on and on! Order the shirt! 💕🌸
