Quick install, great unit
I just received my Jensen a.m. FM Bluetooth radio which replaces one that I had previously that finally gave out. This is in my 2005 Toyota Corolla. Very basic wiring install very small unit without the CD. I was surprised how short it was in the back. But everything worked great took me less than 20 minutes to take it out and put in the new one. Functionality no problems at all more presets on AM FM that I would ever use. Bluetooth functionality works great and answering the phone and speaker coming through from my phone. No problems with connectivity. Microphone seems to work well for Bluetooth. Definitely a great buy for the price.

Display doesn't dim, otherwise pretty good and works as advertised.
Updating my original review. I thought the rear speakers weren't working, but it turns out the stock door speakers were rotted, and the connector inside the door that the speaker wires go through was severely corroded. Some contact cleaner and new door speakers and I had all four channels working. Installation was a breeze and it sounds good. Linked up to my phone no problem. FM radio reception is great, I can pick up stations my home stereo can't dream of getting. There are two small problems: The aux input is not sufficiently isolated, meaning if you plug your device into the cigarette lighter port for power, it will pick up a high pitched whine, especially noticeable at high volume. I had to buy a $10 ground loop filter to make this noise go away. The other thing is, there is no dimmer on this head unit. My last head unit (and the stock one) had a wire that allowed the display to dim, controlled by the dashboard dimmer knob. No such wire on this one, and also no ability to dim the display manually. This means it's bright and distracting at night. Not a deal killer, but together these knocked a star off the review.

Great for the price, smooth volume knob sucks
Great sound for the price, looks are decent, and operating is easy. Only downside is fall is that the value knob is smooth, you have to grip it with two fingers to turn up or down the volume. Not a big deal for the price, I just never realized how much I have always bused used one find for the volume.

Radio works perfectly but lights too bright
This radio works perfectly. I bought this for my 2001 vw beetle and bought an adapter harness that maybe this almost plug and play. I was then able to solder the harness together and the radio works perfectly. The only issue I have is there is no way to dim the blue lights on the faceplate so driving at night is almost impossible as this radio is so ungodly bright.

Incredibly small, easy to install.
I wanted a radio that would provide streaming radio capability in my old truck. This radio is incredibly small and light. Easy to wire and the wiring diagram was easy to understand. Installation was a little challenging because the DIN mounting bracket was designed for the radio to slide all the way in. My Ford truck had a plastic trim that was designed to fit between the radio faceplate and the DIN mounting bracket which prevented the radio from snapping-in to the bracket. This radio does not have a removable trim ring around the front face (what you see in the Amazon ad is the way the radio slides-in. The size and weight of this radio is impressive, no rear mounting support bracket is required (even though Jensen did provide a screw hole in the rear heat sink). The audio power (volume) is adequate, not quite as loud as my other radios (also rated 200W), but close. The tone controls do not provide any graphic equalizer, only BASS, TREBLE and Loudness, but the radio does produce a decent sound for an inexpensive radio. The Bluetooth paired easily but I had to turn the volume in my iPhone to max to get decent volume on the radio. The controls feel quality and have detent click (even the volume knob). Jensen paperwork says the warranty is 1-year (2-year if you register on-line). Amazon says the warranty is 2-year (3-year if you register on-line). I saved the Amazon ad with my warranty paperwork. On-line registration was easy and not very invasive (personal information). I do recommend you take a picture of the radio serial number before you install it (handy for on-line registration).

it is, what it is...
Overall, I give it a 5. Is it really a 5? Probably not. But, I gave it that rating, because it is a cheap audio head unit, so expectations isn't high to begin with. So, for what it is, yeah, it's a 5 for me. It was a breeze to install, and very straight forward. I was shocked at how thin, and light this thing was. It is only about an inch deep, but then again, no CD or tape mechanics in it, kind of makes sense. I like the features it has, and again, it's only a $30 unit, so, .... I drive a classic ex-Military 4x4 Dodge Power Wagon. It is cammed, and dual exhausted with flowmasters, so, it's loud. I am not sure if I will be able to hear this thing as I roar down the road, or trail. But. again, for what it is, sounds pretty decent. I might have to add some power and better speakers to it at some point to hear it over the roar of my truck. But, happy with the purchase at this point. As with everything these days, it is how long it will last is the main question. We will see.. But for cheap audio for non-audiophile types, this is a pretty good option. Update: Ok.. I initially gave this unit a 5, because I liked the size and ease of it. However I changed it to a 2. When I first installed it, it worked great. But within a week of being installed, the display went out. It still worked, but I could not change any of the settings, because the display could not be seen to navigate around. It still played my MP3's though, so I tolerated it as I moved onto other things in my old truck. It at least gave me tunes while I worked on the truck. I recently put my truck on the road, and the old truck runs and drives great. However, almost immediately, I noticed this radio started cutting in and out. It's not a station thing, because I don't use the radio part of it. I solely use it to play my music collection on MP3. Every bump, the sound would cut out, then back on. I am a retired electrician (aircraft) by trade, and was meticulous on the electrical connections, so I doubted it was due to poor wiring. I gave it the benefit of the doubt though, and went in to check my wiring, and connections. And yep, aircraft quality work, and everything was tight, and good connections, so it much be internal of the head unit. So, on the road, this unit is useless. Any changing of settings, useless and can not do blind with the panel not working at all. I can only use it to listen to my MP3s while sitting still, or working in the truck. I will be replacing this thing soon. I'm just glad it wasn't very expensive. So, now this unit is a "Nope!" Update again: Well, weird, but my display started working again. BUT, NOW no sound at all. All connections are still fine as I looked. But, now no sound at all. So, this unit is going to be removed and thrown as far as I can throw it. I bought it because it carried the Jensen name, which I always had faith in. But, that is quickly changing. Sure, I know it's a cheap unit, but at any price, it should work. At least for a year or so. I got about a months use out of this crap. Downgraded from 4 star, to 3 star, now to a 1 star for me.

Great for the price
I bought this for my beater car (2001 Corolla) to replace the OEM cassette tape radio, as it was the cheapest on Amazon with good reviews. To make my life easier I bought Metra’s Toyota 70-1761 Harness so I didn’t have to cut or splice any of the vehicle’s cabling. It was easy to wire but I had to sand down the plastic around the single DIM slot because the radio wouldn’t fit without doing so. I didn’t anticipate how shallow the unit was (little less than 2 inches deep) so I couldn’t mount it like a normal radio. I had to slide it in, so if you plan to use the casing or screws on your OEM head unit, you might have to improvise like I did. The Bluetooth works fine. Sound quality is decent (can’t be mad for $30). Hands-free calling works great. I was surprised how well the mic worked, although I had to turn down the A/C for it to hear me well. The build quality is definitely cheap. I feel like I can break off the knob without much force. When charging my phone with the USB port while also listening to radio, I’ll start to hear a bit of radio interference for around 15 seconds before it goes away. Not sure if this is from the USB port charging a device or just the lack of proper shielding in the unit itself. Overall I recommend this for anyone with a work vehicle/beater car or something similar that just needs to replace the OEM head unit.

Absolute no-brainer!
I purchased this little Jensen to replace the factory head unit in a friends 2006 Hyundai Tuscon. Made up a quick harness/adaptor before install day and after removing the old unit it literally took a couple of minutes and the job was complete! Fits perfectly, works perfectly and sounds incredible... however you need to be careful when testing as it's far more powerful than the factory head unit and I accidentally blew the front drivers side speaker in the process, whoops :) All good though as even a couple of inexpensive replacements will round the whole upgrade off nicely.

Great product though installation will likely require some technical know-how
The device itself works great and does what is expected of it. You can easily set presets for FM/AM Radio, do hands-free-calling, and pair easily through Bluetooth to your phone even without the recommended software. I bought this for my 1998 Toyota Tercel it does come with the adapter which I think was in standard format and I had to splice the wires from the OEM format of my car which I didn't really know was going to be necessary but it also wasn't that hard to do. I just had to look up a wiring guide for my car and figure out what colour cable was for what then attach it to the same-purposed cable on the adapter (see photos). This may be different for your vehicle! I bought this not knowing exactly how to install it, but I learned a bit about wiring my system, and now my old 98' Tercel has a small splash of modern technology in it.

Lasted 6 months
Worked ok for 6 months but now power cuts in and out, audio randomly drops out. Appears to be due to harness connector on back of unit. Maybe dry or bad solder to board...

Excellent value
I bought this to replace the deck in my camping trailer. I had to make a cover for the huge hole in the cabinet that the original deck had, but other than that installation was straightforward as far as decks go. I wasn't looking for great sound, it's just for some music while camping, but it's clear and not tinny. It has USB, which is what we wanted, much more useful than CDs now a days. The operation is simple, didn't need to look at the manual. Never used or needed the Bluetooth, I guess I could make and take calls hands free while in my trailer. There is an app you can download to control the deck, my Android phone works perfectly with it. No setup required, just open the app and do what you want. You can control everything with the app, even turn it off or on from outside the trailer. I consider this and excellent value for my needs.
