J.B. Field's Women's Cashmere non-binding Casual Socks (5-9 sock size) (1 Pair)

Held up through 3 washing machine washes (not delicate cycle either) and still super soft and comfy
Softest socks I've ever had in the last 10 years. Holding up beautifully although I haven't had them but a few months. Washed in machine 3 times and dried and came out just like they went in, like new. When I'm cold and put them on, I immediately feel "just right" warm. Not sweaty, the socks breathe. But even on days when I feel cold to the bone, these feel like a life saver. I liked them so much I bought a second pair. I live in the south, so I don't have to deal with temps below 25 F outside normally. But some days with the humidity it feels colder than the temperature shows and days when I just feel cold even in indoor heated spaces, these socks can easily warm me back up. Very soft too.

Good socks but ...
Well, gullible me. I saw 4 pairs of socks in the display picture. And, so, guess what? I think I am buying 4 pairs, at great price, too! When the package arrives, I get one pair. I go back to the site, and sure enough, there right in the title it says one pair. And the color selection below shows pictures of single pairs. I’m wrong, wrong, wrong. I just got to take time to read -- the big print giveth and the small print taketh away. The socks are superb and my wife is delighted how they feel and fit. As I reflect, I think the word “gullible” is too kind of a description for me. But, it’ll have to do, avoiding a more descriptive adjective. The socks are nice and soft, warm and fuzzy. So there.

It is more wool than cashmere, and it is ...
It is more wool than cashmere, and it is thicker and not as soft as my other cashmere socks. But it is warm due to its thickness. It shrinks a lot after washing and became very tight and hard. My shoe size is 6, so I can still wear them after the shrinkage, but feels very tight. I only wear them after I run out of clean cashmere socks.

Soft, but thinner than previous pairs. Non-binding = don’t stay up, pool at ankle.
Despite being thinner and not staying up these are good bed socks, if you suffer with cold feet at night. Being lightweight yet warm is ideal for that use. However, unlike my previous pair, which lasted over 10 years, these most likely will be short-lived and cannot be worn for fashion/active use.

The perfect winter sock - please make more colors
I think these are some of the best, warmest socks that I've ever owned. It is incredible how lightweight they are. I wish they came in more colors and I wish they came in a larger size so I could get some for my husband. I love that they are not tight and the fabric content is perfect. I love cashmere for its warmth, but I have found that 100% cashmere socks wear out very quickly, especially in the heels, plus they're pricey. And I get tired of the ridiculous number of sellers claiming their socks are cashmere or a cashmere blend. Sorry, but 3% cashmere is not going to cut it. I originally just bought one pair of these, then quickly bought another. They only come in basic colors, but I would definitely buy more if they came in light blue, green or purple. So happy with my purchase!

Finally - socks that don't squeeze my legs and leave marks!
I have been holding off on buying non-binding socks because of the price. I finally decided on this brand and bit the bullet and paid what I thought was a high amount for some non-binding socks. Well, I could not be more pleased. They are so soft, they are non-binding! I am so excited about this - I cannot wait to order more. At the end of the day when I took them off there were no lines deep into my skin - for the first time in a long time. I will be looking for more brands of non-binding socks to try out!

Would not recommend
I wear a size 9 shoe. Out of the package these socks were TOO stretchy and fell down around my ankles and were not as warm as I expected for wool socks. My husband threw away the packaging so I had to guess at the washing instructions. I figured they had to be machine washable - this is the 21st century - so I washed them in cold with other dark items. After washing they became felted and shrunk so much they looked like children's socks. I spent five minutes stretching them by hand and then, while they were still damp, I forced them on my feet. They stretched almost to the right size. If you wear a size 5 or so, you might like these better after they shrink although they are not very attractive felted. At $16 per pair they were a splurge for me and I am very disappointed.

Feel nice but don't hold shape
Follow up after a few wearings. The socks still feel really nice but get shorter and wider all the time. They no longer fit at the ankle so don't work well under boots. Now i mostly wear them around the house to keep my feet warm. I do know his to care for wool and they have been properly washed and dried.Original review: These are nice quality and since I am only a US size 7.5 shoe (womens), they fit. If your feet are any larger, they will be too small. I expect they 'fit as expected' in their country of origin.
