Apipema 3222504 Car Mount Air Vent for Smartphone up to 5.5-Inch, Black

This is an excellent and well designed car mount for my iPhone that securely attaches to my air vent. I was looking for something well designed and solid since it would be used in a moving car 365 days a year. What sets this ahead of other similar units is that the fingers that hold the phone are tall and covered in a non-slip rubber. What I have experienced is that it is very easy to get my phone in and out of this unit. Even so my iPhone 5s is held very solid and securely. This unit meets all the needs I had.What really surprised me was the price. I had purchased my wife many month ago. It is nice but I don't think it works as well and was twice the cost. I think it is harder to take a phone in/out of hers vs mine. I have a feeling she will want to "trade" :-)If you are looking for a solid unit that will allow secure mounting of your phone to your car while you travel, your search is over. I like this unit and the company that makes it.

This product is a little more robust feeling than those I've used in the past and seems of a higher quality. It holds my iPhone 6s Plus in place quite snugly and provides the ability to view the phone in landscape or portrait mode with a simple twist. I attempted, at first, to use this with a bulky case ( Black/Black Survivor All-Terrain Case + Belt Clip for iPhone 6/6s Plus  but found that the holder wasn't wide enough. I have since switched to a wireless charging case, the  MoKo Wireless Charging Case - Qi Wireless Charge Receiver Cover Back Shell for Apple iPhone 6 Plus / 6s Plus (5.5-Inch), DC 5V / 1.5A, BLACK  and the unit fits perfectly. My wife is also able to put her 6s plus into this holder while in its apple silicone case.

Product is of nice quality, grips the phone nicely, but requires two hands to remove the phone from it. The thing that makes it unusable for me is the rubber grips that are supposed to slip into the air vent. They are WAY too short and don't even come close to a tight fit in my Mazda 5. The spacing on the 4 prongs were made too wide as well. I've recently given it away to a friend in hopes that it will work for him. I had to order it, have it delivered to a family member in the States and then sent to me in Eastern Europe to where i live. Such a shame it didn't work out for me, seemed like the one to go with after doing extensive research.

The teeth that mounts on the car vent aren't long enough and have already bent. The rubber around the teeth has already started peeling off the metal. This device also requires 2 hands to remove the phone since it squeezes the phone so tightly. The constant removing and installing this device on the vents is what causes the teeth to bend.

Had to return one because it doesn't fit the round vents on Mini Cooper. Have a second for our Lexus SUV. Works okay, but falls off with the larger Iphone 6 Plus. Not awful, not great, therefore 3/5 rating

Simple effective design. Works well with iPhone 5. Holds phone securely. Grabs the vent of my Ford Fusion securely. Good product, good price point. You will need two hands to release the phone.

The product was OK....but I found another type in China for only $2.00 plus 2.00 for shipping...it seemed to work better for me. This was not easy to open and it was so tight it shoot my phone across car when trying to remove it. The product does what it said I just found something cheaper and better fit for me.

Exactly what I wanted! Keeps phone in sight and can drive and talk hands free! Also, delivered very quickly!
