If you aren't tall or if you make your pourover at a standard height kitchen counter it could either take some getting used to or maybe some folks will never get used to it. (Many reviews complain about that, but I have no issues whatever—no drips, etc. Maybe those people pour faster than I do.) The glass is quite thick for a double-walled carafe, but it's still delicate. I don't put it in the dishwasher. It keeps the liquid warm enough, but it's not a thermos bottle.
