Rubies at Party City Jurassic World: T-Rex Inflatable Costume for Kids

We bought 2 of these in the Adult size and one in the child size. Wore them in a parade and everyone loved them! Our Dinosaurs gave the kids a lot of "high fives" and they produced tons of smiles! We wore the costumes in May in the parade. The temperature at the beginning of the parade was around 74 degrees F and was well into the mid 80's by the time we finished the parade. The costumes are hot. We had several kids taking turns in the customes. Because of the heat and the fact that you cannot walk very fast in the costumes we did not make it to the end of the parade. We also wore the costumes for a visit to the grade school in our town. The kids loved it! We plan to wear the costumes again at our Pumpkin Farm in the Fall! We loved the costumes! They are well made and Super Fun! Plus, I think 2 of my kids will be wearing them this fall for Halloween if they are still intact by then! No rips or tears so far! My 7 year old son was able to fit into the child sized costume. However, he is tall and very skinny. Weighs about 56 pounds. If he gets much taller, he may not fit in it by fall.

We ordered these for a T.Rex run (that'a going to happen in a month or so). Did not expect much; however, had a great time trying these out and scaring the neighbors a bit. Takes 4 AA batteries; we had them on for about half an hour, and the fan was still blowing strong. After reading other reviews, I was afraid that the zipper would not hold; newerless, it worked fine and is attached securely. We walked around to see how it moves and scare the cats, hence the "family picture" 👍 I am 5'2" therefore I waw afraid it would be too tall for me - not a problem at all, I can see everything clearly. Overall seems sturdy and, I believe, will serve it's purpose with flying colours.

Both my almost 3 year old son and my 5 year old daughter got to wear this for Halloween this year. Everyone loved it! They received tons of compliments and it was hilarious to watch them walk and run in it! The batteries have lasted a long time so far as well! It seemed to be fairly comfortable for the kids to wear but did tire them out a little faster given how they had to walk in it. It was big on my almost 3 year and also a bit big on my petite 5 year old so it will last for a while still. Lots more fun and laughter with it to come!

I got this for my 9 year old son who single handily picked this out. I bought it after looking it over and thought it would hold up for what he wanted for Halloween. Well it did, for a few minutes. We test fitted it when we got it to make sure all was well. It was tight but worked but the fan made a really bad noise like something was in it getting tossed around. It was intermittent but it played its part. Took a few min to air up as well. So halloween comes and my son is excited on his costume so we put it on, turn it on and it starts to air up and the noise from the fan gets worse but it’s working. But then it starts to deflate. Fan is running-ish but with all the noise. Long story short, luckily I am mechanically inclined side I pulled off the fan and took it to my workbench and after a few minutes, I discovered the housing was cracked, there was a screw missing from the fan itself, and the arm that holds the fan on to rotate it had completely stripped itself and was just spinning on the shaft it was suppose to be on. Quick thinking on my part and not wanting my son to be disappointed, I had some 5 min apoxie on hand and with a little help, I got it to hold up to make it through the night. Long story short, pick another one. If it works well then it looks good. Unfortunately ours didn’t and it almost cost us a disappointing night. Check the reviews. The costume itself gets 5 stars, but deducting 1 for fit issues. We bought this in the children's size for my 4 year old and once we made some changes got it fit and working, it's absolutely amazing and hysterical. A warning though, the neck hole for the peek though is EXTREMELY small. Product is listed as fitting children size 7. My 4 year old is tall for his age, but nowhere near the size of a 7 year old. Despite our best efforts (and a lot of screaming from my kid that we were ripping his ears off) we could not get the hood on him. I finally took a pair of scissors to the seam in the front and we were able to get it over his head without compromising the air tight seal that keeps the costume inflated because there is a toggle pull in the front. Once on, we had another issue with the elastic around the face being so tight that it completely obscured his vision. A funny visual to see my over-inflated Dino-child ricocheting off walls, crashing into furniture and bulldozing over my dogs. Another snip with scissors allowed him to see, but air seal suffered and the costume started to deflate. I gathered the hood and secured it under his chin with a safety pin and it looks like the problem is fixed. We may use some fashion tape around his face on Halloween to make sure it stays inflated. All in all, the costume is great, but definitely incorrect for sizing and a little bit of effort to trouble shoot. If you have the patience to fix it, you won't be disappointed. But I would not recommend buying this costume for any child over the age of 4-5.

The batteries need to be replaced AT LEAST every hour. So just get a big ol' pack of AA batteries (I bought a 48 pack on Amazon for about $13). My sweet son is super destructive and, for as much as he loves this costume, does not go out of his way to be gentle with it. This costume withstood him all day Halloween and all day at school the Friday before. I'm totally impressed with the quality of the costume. Frankly, I bought it EXPECTING it to not make it through trick-or-treating because he's so careless (ADHD moms holla). He's STILL running around in it :) Will buy again when needed - it is so entertaining. PS - Venom and Pink Elsa are his siblings. Anyone else just LOVE watching their kids run around like mini-adults on Halloween?

We ordered several dinosaur costumes this year to try to find one that would fit our somewhat tall 6 year old properly. While this is the one we ended up keeping it was a little small for him. The "neck" part was REALLY REALLY tight so we had to stretch it out. The costume is cute, and worked for the 3 times he had to wear it but it was DONE halfway through trick-or-treating losing air and not stay up which was disappointing. It will get a leak rather quickly so I do not recommend this if you need it for multiple events. In total he wore the costume maybe 4 hours and it is destroyed. the quality could be a little better but for the price it was to be expected. Still a bit overpriced in comparison to most costumes you could wear over and over. This one is more like wear it once and throw it away.

I bought this for my daughter. She's 8 and had seen a YouTube video of this costume. While I was excited to find it online, I was a little taken aback by the price. We ordered it anyway. The costume arrived on time and in excellent condition. It was not difficult to assemble. There is a small, motorized fan that comes with the costume to keep it inflated. This is concealed on the inside. Now the fun part: While I initially balked at the price, this was worth every penny. Once my daughter got into the costume and it inflated, it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen! We took her for a walk around the block and nearly caused an accident because people were pulling over to take pictures. It really is a showstopper! She was one of a kind and got tons of compliments. The costume and fan are well made, and I'm delighted to say is still in tact after 4 Halloween parties and a long night of trick or treating. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Great costume, little boy used it for Halloween and loved it (and so did everyone we met going round). Easy to put on and inflated well. Not sure what the suggested age is but my son is a slim age 9 and found the elastic around arms a bit tight but guess it needed to be for air not to escape, so wouldn’t suggest if your child doesn’t like tight things around wrists. Overall very pleased with item and great delivery as came next day.

Muy padre disfraz. La tela o nylon es muy delgado y hay que tener cuidado al ponerlo y caminar para no romperlo, en especial la cola que siempre se arrastra. La cara por fuera creo es mucho más segura que la ventana de plástico de los disfraces grandes, pero es un poco incómoda para mantener el contorno de la cara del niño ya que se baja hacia la cara. Una vez que le agarran la medida o el cómo, es más fácil. El motor lleva 3 pilas AA y se consumen algo rápido ya que mueve constantemente un pequeño ventilador que infla todo el traje. Si las pilas se bajan el disfraz no se infla correctamente. Claro que es algo para usar un rato nada más. En tamaño se ajusta bien desde 6 años a 10-11 aproximadamente.

Absolutely great costume. My daughter used it for Book Week and look so cute. Easy enough for her to put it on and off during the day. Will he using it for Halloween.
