Best handheld compass
This compass replaces a same model tried and true Suunto compass that had a broken glass/plastic top. I bought a refurbished model for a much better price than new and so far I am very pleased.

Both Suunto and Amazon Customer Service impossible to work with.
My Suunto KB-14 compass arrived missing the magnetic declination tool required to calibrate the compass to my geographic location. All I wanted was the tool. Amazon had no option to contact a real person to explain what had situation. I did contact Suunto but they didn't have the tool in stock, nor could they tell me what type of screw head was on the declination adjustment so that I could order a third party replacement. Because both Amazon's and Suunto poor customer service I had no other option than to return the item. Then Amazon does its cute checkbox trick to try get me to return for store credit instead of a refund. I wasted 4 hours of my time between Amazon and Suunto's subpar customer service, and if billed for my time it would have been more that the cost of the compass.

Product shipped is not what is presented in photographs
I tried twice to puchase the KB-14/360R G from this seller. What was shipped twice was a discontinued KB-14/360Q G The KB-14/360Q G is a QUAD (or quadrants) version SUUNTO KB-14 compass. Each quadrant of this compass is broken down 0-90 or 90-0 degrees. Certain land plats will have degrees referenced by quadrants. (If your land plat has any direction printed that is higher than 90 degrees, then you do NOT need this compass). This is a specialty use compass for limited users.

Thinking of buying another Suunto compass!
I've had my Suunto compass for nearly 30 years! It came in very helpful while I flew hot air balloons on the Pro Racing Tour back in the 80's and 90's. It still works just fine but the fluid inside has turned a dark blue...and I havee no clue how to "repair" that. Any ideas? Other than buying another one? :-)

KB-14 Compass is a waste of money
I have one where the fluid turned green, I have one where the directional arrow sticks and the warranty is crap for the price paid. Don’t!!!!!!

Easy to use
The compass is very easy to read and use. It comes in a nice case. It can not be adjusted for location deviation as is stated in description.
