This has proven to be the best dog grooming brush I have found for long haired dogs. It is gentle and brushes easily through the long hair. It does not tug or rip the hair like a pin brush. Both my older Parti-colored Yorkie and my Lhasa Apso enjoy being brushed. The contour of the brush glides through the hair strands and massages the skin. Easy to remove the hair from brush when cleaning it.

I don't normally write reviews, but I wanted to let everyone know that this brush is magical. My Pomeranians have always hated getting brushed and I have experimented and wasted a lot of money on many different brushes and combs until I found this brush. I am not kidding when I tell you that now my dogs will literally stand in line waiting to be brushed! One of them will fall asleep on my lap as I brush him. This brush is soft and does not pull on their hair the way other brushes do. It does de-tangle the knots and helps shed excess fur. I highly recommend this brush!

Perfect! We got this for our puppy (miniature poodle) at the recommendation of her breeder. She (the poodle, not the breeder lol) is now 7 months and this is the only brush we use several times a week. It gets out the tangles easily, easy to clean, size is great for covering large areas and tiny paws, shows no signs of wear/damage after several months even after puppy nibbles and bites, I think it is a great value for the money. Cute bonus points for the tiny bone cutout on the middle. It removes hair for this breed well but if you start to get tiny knots/tufts this won’t get through those; we do need to use a metal narrow tooth comb gently. I would buy this again for a non shedding puppies like poodles. I showed a picture of the brushed hair towards her back vs unbrushed hair towards her neck/head for comparison; very easy to untangle and quick.

We have 2 coton de tulear dogs and keep their hair short. It works well, especially with their long, fluffy tails. The brush is big around their face, so we use a different brush there. Bear has thick hair, and Buddy has finer hair, and the brush works well with both. Since the bristles are farther apart, it's easy to clean the brush. The dogs seem to like this brush, so we're happy with it.

By far the best brush I have purchased for my dogs. It’s comparable to a wet brush. It’s so gentle over their knees and hind legs, where other brushes can be painful. It fluffs their coat beautifully. One of my dogs has super fine hair that knots very easily, and if you don’t catch it in time it can pull her skin. This comb pulls out knots easy and gently. It’s like a little massage - my dogs loved it. Super happy with my purchase.

Works just fine, but too large for my little bitty puppy

I should have bought this years ago. It detangles beautifully and easily even when my double coated dog is wet. No pulling, no stress, it's easy and quick. For shedding, I still like The deshedding rake with three rows of rounded thick tines but this brush is perfect for daily use.

I adopted a senior corgi girl that would absolutely not allow me to brush her. I worked my way up to her allowing me to comb her, but a comb just wasn’t cutting it. I saw this brush and had a feeling this might be acceptable with her. So far, she allows me to brush her longer with this brush than she’s ever allowed me with anything else. It doesn’t seem to be a huge hair grabber but I did have her groomed recently (which apparently went NOT very well). This isn’t a firm backed brush and is very flexible, which I assume is way more comfortable to her. I do feel it might be massaging to her, sort of. Anyway, in my house, this is a complete WINNER! I’m extremely happy with the purchase and think this is an absolutely perfect brush especially for senior pets who are probably more sensitive. And this would be a good brush for sick babies who you might want to pamper. The bristle tips are coated with a soft rubber. It really is a very nice brush. But do not expect it to be “deshedding” because it isn’t that type of brush.

Love this brush. Sooo much better than most slicker Brushes I’ve used. Worth buying for your kit.

Works super well for German shepherd - very smooth and gentle yet effective

This brush works well for when I use the velocity dryer on my standard poodle after a bath. It's not for working out mats, it's for hair that's already reasonably brushed out. It's good for pulling the hair straight when drying with a blower. I wouldn't recommend it for everyday maintenance, unless the hair is very short perhaps. This brush is not going work like a slicker brush to detangle. But it's design is ideal for letting air through with the dryer and the bristles are bendy enough to pull the hair straight without causing the dog discomfort. I don't use it all the time but it's the right tool for a specific task and gets results.
