This is a great house for our new hammie! It's sturdy, good quality, and Finbar has taken to it and seems to enjoy it. One chamber is his sleeping room - because there's no bottom, he can burrow deeper to sleep. Another is for storing food, and a third for extra space. I purchased a ladder from Niteangel so he can climb to the top where he has a water dish and a place for treats. I like the "L" shape because it fits well in our Ikea Detolf-hacked enclosure that is narrow. Sometimes I think I wish the lid was hinged, but I know if it was, I probably would wish that it was completely removeable - so I think overall it's a good design. I'm hoping the material isn't easily susceptible to moisture damage, like in case his water dish spills. Only time will tell, but if there's a hamster-safe protective coating to put on it, I would consider it. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more items from Niteangel in the future.

We absolutely love this little house! It’s bigger than we expected, which is great because our hamsters love exploring and hiding in it. The multi-room layout makes it fun for them to play and rest in different spots. It also looks very good in their cage. It’s sturdy, well-made, and fits perfectly in their habitat. You can tell they feel safe and cozy inside. Definitely one of the best additions we’ve made to their setup!

Very well made with heavy duty materials that will stand up to anything your hammy throws at it. The removable top is super handy for spot and burrow cleanup. Overall, this is a great value for the price. I recommend getting the stilts to elevate the hide so your hammy can burrow under. 🐹🩵🌸

It’s definitely more pricey for a reason! It’s sturdy and built really well. It comes with a piece of sandpaper to smooth any rough edges but I didn’t need it. It’s so nice and spacious and my hamster loves it. She immediately moved it the same night. My niteangel hamster wheel fits perfectly on top as well.

The hamsters like their little hiding area. We got the 3 bedroom for them. It’s pretty big! It’s made of solid wood. Good quality. Quiet. And I love that the lid can come off. The height is perfect for hamsters too.

The plastic house that came with the cage we bought was tiny and not insulated. Hammie peed, pooped, slept, and stored his food all inside this tiny little plastic house, and hardly had room for himself plus bedding. So i bought him this new multi-chamber hamster house maze. I put it in his cage and he immediately investigated the whole thing. He absolutey loves it. He hasn't even gone in the old plastic house since he got this. This will keep him warmer due to the thicker wooden walls and more space for his bedding. This new house does not have a floor, so the floor of the house is the floor of his cage which is plastic and sits on a table. I think this is good bc when he pees it will not wet the wood, but the table underneath is still providing insulation. I would not put this on an "upper" level of a cage or over wire bc you want hammie to stay nice and warm. The entryway of this house is plenty big for a syrian hamster and the rooms are big enough for him to make himself a nice nest. The roof comes off easily, the first time i took it off he was cocmpletley upside down wiht his butt in the air, burrowing; it was comical. But it will be easy to lift off to take him out, or to clean, or add more bedding. I put the house down in the empty cage and then added bedding to all the rooms and outside. 10 stars for this house.

Purchased Feb26 year 2020. It’s now July 30 same year. So I’ve had it for 5 months. When it arrived there were places were it was coming undone and I had to put glue on it. -A lot of hamster wood products across most brands are not sanded the way they should be. Feel: This is fairly smooth. no splinters from running my hand across it. But it is rough in spots like it could have been a little more. So I did not sand it. Sturdiness: I did have to put glue on it in a few places on both on arrival and after a few months retouch. -it has two wooden dowels that “secure the lid in place”. My personal criticism is that it still wobbles some when you move stuff around or use it the top as a hamster wheel stand. This could be fixed by making the lid attached via a hinge or more dowels. Note:wooden dowels are very cheap can buy anywhere almost that sells even the basic hand tools. But still. To seal or not seal the wood: You can see stains from water and from food. I would highly recommend using a sealant first. —A pet safe one or a nursery/saliva safe sealant or even a FOOD SAFE (0 VOC per ml/g, formaldehyde, non toxic, etc like ex material soy, lime, or regular but without those chemicals). Which makes it nice to use around the house for other things. Pet size: it is Syrian hamster sized. (So all dwarf sized are fine too). In the video I have a Syrian male long haired and you can see he gets through just fine😜. He uses the small Far right chamber as his nest. The one in front of it closes to camera for hiding pouched food. The one next to his nest (middle chamber farthest from camera) as a toilet. And the far left chamber as toilet..overflow?? He loves his nest. For: Syrians as Shown And all hamster breeds smaller than that To use it: I recommend having glue on hand or buying some for this. I used Children’s school glue as it is non toxic and safe for pet use and wood glue is not nor is it safe to put in your mouth (keep in mind they are natural chewers) I also recommend using sealant a non toxic saliva safe 0 VOC sealant or allow two weeks or so in a well ventilated area away from pets& kids to let the chemical odor calm down. Note: hamsters have sensitive respiratory systems and so do humans, if it smells strong to you then it will be for them too. I’d also recommend to purchase more dowels OR even better purchase hinges to keep the lid in place. If you don’t secure the lid yourself more than the manufacturer: —even when only a water dish and food bowl, I can still hear the 130 gram 1yr 8mo Senior Syrian male hamster every time he climbs up from the hole on the lid( which he loves!!). Pros: did not have to be sanded on purchase Cheap Actually SYRIAN sized holes! (I’ve only found the Niteangel and AndWe brands in America to have Syrian sized entrance holes and chamber holes. All holes are the same size. Syrian hamster approved and loved! Cons: have to make the lid more secure so you don’t hear the hamster every time they climb on top of it. Having to buy or use a wood sealant first. I didn’t & it’s stained now and I have to clean it with warm water and a toothbrush around the urine areas and then let it dry out completely over several days. Or it will stink no matter how often you spot clean and deep clean the cage as wood is porous.

The house is sturdy and well made. I found there is little hamster houses big enough for an adult Syrian, but this one is nice and spacious. My hamster likes having separate rooms in her houses, so this one is great. As the hamster is getting older, I appreciate that the house is opening at the top so I can check on her if I need to without disturbing her neatly organised space. It is on the pricey side, but I am not mad at it as much knowing it is good quality.

Very well made product. Comes with a small piece of sand paper do you can clean up any sides that may be rough. I thought that was very thoughtful. The product itself is very spacious and well made. Would recommend and would buy again
