Clairol Professional Jazzing Semi-Permanent Hair Color

I'm so grateful Amazon has this. You can no longer find it in the stores. It gives sheer color and lots of shine. I used to use the Clear Jazzing just to add shine to my hair. Now, I use Spiced Cognac to add a red tint to my dark brown hair. I leave it on for an hour to turn it into a permanent coloring.

Spiced cognac added a lovely subtle light auburn color to my light brown/dark blonde ashy hair. I started with pretty much natural untreated hair (I used a different semi permanent auburn color maybe like six or seven months ago, but I’m pretty sure that’s all out) and I didn’t realize till after I purchased that this dye is technically made for colored/treated hair. Oh well! It did exactly what I was hoping it would do, just a light wash of color. I applied it to slightly damp hair, left it on for about 25 minutes, had it under a plastic cup for about 15 of those, then washed it out. I bought two bottles, but one covered my medium/long hair well. Next time, I may leave it in a little longer, just to intensify the color. I literally just sat the blow dryer down, snapped a picture, and wrote this review since there aren’t many pics of this shade… so we’ll see how it wears and fades!

Love this brand

I have used this product for many years. It has great coverage of grays if you are not looking for a permanent color. It washes in completely and does not dry your hair. The color comes out just the way I like it every time! This is something I do at home by myself without my stylist. Very easy to apply. Just follow the directions.

I love Ms Clairol products. They work well for my hair and are super affordable.

The only thing that sucks is it does wash out super quickly so every other wash you have to reapply

I purchased this temporary hair color because I wanted to add a little color to my hair without making a permanent commitment. It gave me the subtle color I was looking for and was easy to apply. However, it is truly temporary. The color washes out very quickly and even begins to fade when you apply hair products or anything with moisture. Since I regularly use products to retwist my hair, I noticed the color would come off each time I refreshed my hair. If you're looking for a temporary color for a special event, a night out, or just to try a new look for a day, this product works well. But if you're hoping for color that will last several days or through your normal hair care routine, this probably isn't the best choice. Overall, it does exactly what it promises, it provides temporary color. Just keep in mind that "temporary" really does mean temporary.

What they don't tell you about being a redhead: you hit 30 years old and your natural color starts fading. I love using this bottle to keep my copper looking vibrant without frying my hair by dyeing it. I don't have any greys to cover, but it revives my natural color very nicely. Definitely wear gloves, it will stain your skin!

I use this to boost my natural ginger hair that has been fading to blonde! I wash my hair and wring it out and use a small amount of this, and occasionally mix it with my conditioner. I leave it on for 3-8 minutes and get a nice tint effect. I like the spice for my low lights and the gold for the top/highlights of my hair. I buy this regularly now as part of my hair routine!

Trying this out for the first time I thought it was great, but the smell is so overwhelming The best I could describe - a dirty diaper with flowers in it. It smells absolutely wretched to the point where I’m not sure I will purchase this again. There is other products out there that don’t smell like this it do the same thing. The smell is definitely enough to make me never buy this product again even though it works really well. I am now on my fourth usage of it and I just cannot wait to finish this bottle. I’m sitting right now with it on my head writing this review thinking to myself —-dear Lord, the smell! 🤢🤢🤢
