Amazon Basics Electric Stapler - 20 Sheets, Black

I love it! Don’t have the hand strength for a manual stapler. Once I found the sweet spot there were no problems. It’s a bit heavy, but that makes it better for not slipping when pushing your papers in. I would definitely buy it again!

Not my personal favorite but it is a good and versatile stapler. It gets the job done and it has the option to go cordless by using batteries. The price is reasonable. Amazon basics products have yet to fail me, but either way they hold a longer than most warranty. Give this stapler a go.

It is not bad for a $28.00 stapler, but also not extraordinary. You get what you pay for though. It holds 2" long strips of staples, versus the typical 4" long strips that most manual staplers use. The "auto" feature works as expected. The "manual" feature didn't work as I expected. I expected to be able to gently push on the "staple button," however, it requires a good "whack a mole" like action. It also works if you just apply hard pressure on it, which is probably best since the "whack a mole" technique may hurt your hand after a while. My point is that when they say "manual," they mean "manual." That aside, most of us are looking for a decent ELECTRIC stapler that is perfect for medium office use. If that's you, then this stapler will do just fine. I don't see myself needing the manual feature very much, if at all. If this was sold as "auto" only, I'd probably give it 5 stars. But, since they offer the "manual" feature, I expect it to work very easy to qualify for 5 stars. So for that reason, it's a 4 star for me. All in all, I recommend it.

Super easy to use and I love the option of electric or manual use. It's a quality product for a good price.

I was surprised by how well this stapler worked. The dual power is very convenient when having to move around doing projects.

The diagram for the batteries isn't visible & it doesn't use springs, so it's best guess.The short amount of time I was able to use it, it jammed EVERY TIME I used it. After the eighth time it locked into place & was unusable. Also, "Automatic" mode only lasts for ONE USE, then you have to reset it.I couldn't throw this away fast enough.

So easy to use. Very sturdy. Works great on heavy-duty stapling.

I bought this item in October for use in my home office (regular household bills and a small business). It is now April and the stupid thing has stopped working. It's only had moderate use over the months and has stayed on my desk throughout the time that I've had it, so it hasn't had any major wear and tear or a hard life. At the beginning of the month it stopped stapling all together. On both modes, automatic and manual. I thought that maybe the batteries had died and that somehow affected the manual staple method so I changed out the batteries, but that didn't solve the problem. I plugged it in with the cord that came with it and it still didn't solve the problem. I let it sit for a few days before I had time to get back to trying it again. After I got back to it, it stapled twice, then stopped working again. I thought maybe it was low on staples, checked that and that wasn't the problem either. It has stopped working all together, and nothing that I have tried will get it going again. Had I known that it would only last a total of 6 months, I would have just bought a more expensive model and saved myself the trouble.

Works as stated. Differently from other electric staplers, it has the possibility to work on manual allowing the positioning of the paper before stapling.
