They are almost transparent, though. I purchased the 2t/3t and they fit my skinny/tall 4 year old perfectly. They are not snug at all. However I was expecting more of a cotton item. I will admit I did not read the description very good as this seemed to be the only option for a multi light colored set and we needed them yesterday. You can see through the shorts and if they are worn alone. However as you can see in the picture they are not even the same cut from one color to the next with over 2” difference in length from the shortest to the longest pair.
