Description

About this item 3M Scotch 401+ High Performance Green Masking Tape is the preferred choice among industrial painters who demand results. Built on a foundation of innovation, 401+ tape is designed to deliver super-sharp paint lines in applications where surface temperatures can reach up to 250° Fahrenheit. When you consider 401+ can also be used to accomplish everything 3M Industrial Masking Tapes 101+, 201+ and 301+ can do, it’s quite possibly the most versatile tape in the line. It’s one mean, green, masking machine, designed to deliver the consistently superior results you’ve come to expect from 3M. Ideal for critical paint masking applications in automotive, specialty vehicle and industrial markets where strong holding and high temp performance is required, it is frequently used in two-tone color applications on trucks, buses, trailers, trains, fire trucks, ambulances, and airplanes. The conformability of 401+ makes this tape especially useful when placing it around corners, over contours and irregular surfaces. 3M Scotch 401+ High Performance green masking tape is a solvent-free adhesive that offers 36 ounces per inch of peel adhesion compared to 3M's blue painter’s tape, which only offers 23 ounces per inch. This means it maintains an exceptionally strong hold on metal, rubber, glass, and plastic, yet it is still designed to remove cleanly in one piece, without leaving any residue behind. Carrier/Backing: crepe paper. Adhesive: solvent-free rubber. Thickness: 6.7 mils (carrier, adhesive). Adhesion: 36 ounces per inch (to stainless steel test panel). Tensile Strength: 25 pounds per inch (longitudinal). Service/Operating Temperature: up to 250F. Elongation: 10%. Standards Met: Can be qualified for ASTM D-6123 (replaces obsolete PPP-T-42C, Type I CID-A-A-883A). Core: 3-inch diameter. ›See more product details
