Swing is missing one of the hangers - and now it cost twice as much as I paid for it. I think I got a lemon!!!!!

Best swing I've ever bought for my kid... I've bought a lot.
I'm not sure what's up with all the low reviews... this is the sturdiest, most weight capable swing and the value is great, but the item is usually low stock so that may affect some people. I used prime. Needs a stud you don't mind drilling into to place hooks and chain, but awesome for my special needs toddler who is over the 33lbs max that all other swinging products have. She also tests the boundaries of how far she can lean over, and this thing keeps her in. Plus moves 360 degrees around, and there's no frame to trip on, knock over, or fall. I love it!

Tore down the back with one year old inside
We absolutely loved this swing for the first week it was installed in our home! However, while I was swinging my 1 year old son, the buckle that tightens the sides tore away in the back and split nearly the entire length of the back. We were so sad to have Haba, a company for which we have huge respect, let us down like this. Note "Designed in Germany, Made in China" and the quality issue. Very sad to see our-go-to brand lose so much respect from a true "Made in Germany" family! :(

Our toddler loves this swing.
We've had this since our boy was 8 months old; he's now 2 1/2. He loves this very sturdy swing--he calls it his "parachute" swing and apparently finds it comfortable, as he wants to stay in it for up to half an hour. There are very solid latches on both sides (the kind used in heavy-duty backpacks) and lots of padding in the seat.My single complaint is that the padding is so thick that getting him in and out of the swing is a little awkward unless I have a second person to help by holding the front and back of the seat wide open. I need to hoist my child with one arm and use my free hand to wedge the seat open, then wiggle him into the seat, threading one foot through and then the other, then fasten the latches. Once he's in, though, I feel he's very safe, and I am not sure he could get out even if he wanted to given the stiffness of the padding. The materials are high quality. Ours still looks brand new, though it's spent the last year outside hanging from the roof of our covered porch (we live in New England). All in all, it's been well worth the relatively high price.

absolutely love this swing
absolutely love this swing! My grandbaby wants to stay in it all the time! It is made very well and I love that it actually hooks to the ceiling. I can say that this was money well spent. When he gets a little bigger we will be buying the horse swing next!

Does not work well for my toddler
It is a nice swing for an infant, maybe 4 months to a year old. My daughter is 21 months old now and can not use it anymore. The padding is so thick in the front that when she sits in it the front padding compresses her stomach. There is nothing on the swing that holds it open so the heavier they get, the more they get squished. That front pad is square and projects inward and that is what is pushing on her tummy. She cries because she wants to get in the swing but then cries when she is it because it is hurting her. lt is also hard to get her in and out of with the parachute above. I am now on line looking for a new swing. It is a shame because this swing is so expensive.

So cute, and very well constructed
To know that you must buy the hardware separately to install this swing. My husband did the installation, and it did take a few hours. Our ceilings are 9' high, so you will also need to install links to lower it. Other than that, our daughter loves it. It is great entertainment for her. Worth the money.

My kids love their Haba swings
I bought this for my baby and the Icarus swing for my toddler. I hated to spend so much on swings, but they have been well worth the money. We hung them inside in a doorway so they can use them over the long winter months. They are both well made and attractive. My kids have used them almost every day for a year now--not many things that I've bought have had that kind of staying power.
