I can only tell you how it works on my bmw but I think it probably is similar on your car. If you have as an tool- not just a code reader you can do the changes on your car. Most shops will do it typically the charge you a hours labor. That’s the “right” way to replace the battery I checked on the bmw forums and found that people were saying that you could just replace the battery and not refresh the computer. I have put 3 battery’s in my bmw and not registered the new battery and not had any issues. Check on the Audi forums and see what they say. If you have any doubt do the battery swap the way Audi recommends. As to the battery quality it’s great as long as it fits your car size wise you’re go to go.
