Great UPS for small racks!!
Works great for small situations. There are a couple of locations at work with just one or two switches that need to stay on. I'm using this more for power spikes that will only bring power down for a couple seconds. They arrive fully ready to go (it says in the manual to let them charge for 8 hours before you put a load on it. You might want to pick up an "RCCard100" This expansion goes into the back and connects to your network. You can also connect it with the built in LAN connectors, then follow the instructions on how to find it on your network. You can monitor them from an app on your phone, they will even let you know when power goes off for that UPS. The display and power light are nice and bright. The film on the outside did have a smell, but it went away after I threw out the box and trash.

Very Good Rack Mounted Battery option
TL;DR - This product works as expected and protects my home network from downtime due to home power loss. Power Strips are good for situations where you have WHOLE HOME battery backup. This option works for those who need just a few items in a rack. When I made the decision to purchase a rack for my gear I picked up originally a rack mounted power strip, as I had a few battery back-up units I figure I could just plug the strip into one of them and have my rack covered for the occasional power interruption that occurs. Well the dreaded blip in power came and all of my gear turned off and I scratched my head. First I figured it was a bad battery but I let it charge for a day and checked and it said I had over 100 minutes. I pulled the power and poof the rack turned off. After about 30 minutes of online research I quickly discovered that battery backup's require each item plugged in and no use of power strips before power nor attached to the rear. Armed with my new information I searched for a low cost rack mounted option with a weight requirement. This item showed up and has worked like a champ for me. I charged it for 16 hours prior to mounting into my rack. I then plugged in my gear and turned it on. All fired up as expected. I waited for all of the gear to normalize from being powered off and then I pulled the cord out of the wall and the gear in the SURGE port turned off as expected but my gear in the BATTERY ports all stayed up and the battery told me I had 65 minutes of life, I believe as that was a few weeks ago. I plugged it back in tested this scenario again 24 hours later and it worked as designed and expected. Lesson learned, do some research before making purchase decisions because mistakes can show you how foolish a idea of an idea you have. :)

Excellent value for a homelab or small setup
Amazing choice from a homelab perspective. I have TrueNas running on an old Z270 setup that's plugged into this UPS. Cyberpower has native .deb packages that get linux systems talking over the included USB cable. I've got this UPS gracefully shutting down my NAS during power outages and doing weekly self tests. Couldn't be happier. Also had a weird burning smell on the first outage event, seems to have been a 1-off event though, as it's worked great for about a year now. root@nas1-z270[~]# pwrstat -status The UPS information shows as following: Properties: Model Name................... Buzzing Noise
This review will be updated pending the current case open with CyberPower. I received the expected 1500VA product. It was easy to hook up and came with the equipment that was expected to mount it. The runtime for my equipment is as expected on battery. I was able to successfully test the product by pulling the power cable and never losing power on my equipment. The reason for three stars currently is due to a buzzing noise from the transformer. It seemed louder than a transformer should be. This only occurs when it is on battery. It is completely silent when it is being supplied power. I contacted CyberPower for this issue. They are responding accordingly and requested a video. After sending the video, they felt that it would be best to RMA the product. I am pending further instruction for this transaction to occur. I will be able to update the review once I complete the case with CyberPower and can evaluate the replacement. *Update* Cyberpower support work with me regarding this issue. I sent a video of the noise to the technician and they agreed that the unit should be replaced. They sent another 1500 VA unit to me. It was the same model appended with an a at the end of the model number. The case was slightly different but everything appears to functionally be the same. There is still a bit of a buzzing noise from the transformer when on battery, however, much more quiet than the one they previously provided. Updated the rating to four stars.

Totalmente recomendado.

Compared to many other rackmount UPSs that I have, this one is my favorite. Super quiet and still has great runtime. I can actually use this one in my house and not be worried about noise.
