I bought mine with Cherry MX Brown and they are absolutely fantastic! Let me break my review to several parts:Build Quality: 9= The Strafe's build quality is sturdy and robust, and it is heavier than the K70 (due to the body construction of the keyboard being high quality plastics). This makes the keyboard very durable and solid, and basically the structural integrity of the keyboard is on par with the K70. The only thing that Corsair should have improved a little bit more here is the anti-slip rubber feet. For some reason, they are very grippy to the touch, but slides around my desk pretty easily. FYI, I use the Strafe on my Razer Goliathus Extended mousepad, and it still slides. However, the keyboard remains stationary when I am gaming or typing. It is just that I wish the rubber feet has more grip to it. :DPerformance: 10= Performance is a strong point on this keyboard. Mine came with Cherry MX Brown, and the German-engineered switches feels amazing for both typing and gaming. The solid construction of the keyboard, combined with Cherry MX switches, creates the ultimate experience. The textured spacebar is a huge plus.Features: 9.5= This keyboard crams a lot of features in it. It has USB-enabled full anti-ghosting, so do not worry about keystrokes not registering properly. On the upper right corner of the keyboard lies two buttons; one controls the backlighting, and the other locks the Windows Key for gaming mode. Personally I love these dedicated utility keys. Next to the two keys there are three LED indicators for number lock, caps lock and scroll lock respectively.Next, the lighting on this keyboard is awesome, although you are limited to red backlighting. The red backlight is pretty bright at the highest setting, fits very well to my red and black, Darth Vader themed setup. There are more lighting options when you download the Corsair Utility Engine from Corsair's website. It is a rather complex software, no bugs, a lot of customization and comprehensive. Even though I have no issue with the software, I think Razer's Synapse software is more user-friendly.Worthy of note, the keyboard has two lighting strips on its side that adds to the overall aesthetic value.CONCLUSION= The Strafe is a powerful gaming keyboard for hard-core gamers who did not care much for RGB lighting. At $110, this is definitely one of the best mechanical gaming keyboard in the market. Job well done Corsair Gaming, you have earned my sincerest respect! :D ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Intro to RGB Mechanical Keyboards *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2017* I got the RGB version with MX Browns. The switches are great, 45g of force to actuate with a nice bump to let you know when the Key actuated. The actuation point is slightly below the bump, which can be annoying when holding down a key for gaming. The board also features a textured spacebar.The RGB is nice and bright, with a white backplate to reflect light off of. The backplate enhances the light so well, I'm surprised that it's only on the strafe. The lighting is completely customizable. You could make it do basically anything you want if you put in time to the software.The Strafe uses the Corsair Utility Engine to program the lights, macros, and to update firmware and drivers. While there are no dedicated macro keys, every key on the board is programmable. Just select the key you want and record a macro. I do wish that you could make function + another key be its own macro, but that's just me nitpicking. You can even set macros to start a timer with custom sounds. One lightsaber profile I have uses this macro to make a lightsaber sound when I press scroll lock. The lighting can be a bit confusing at first, but becomes intuitive once you dedicate time to learning the program. I'd recommend downloading some profiles from RGB share on the Corsair website, then looking at how they're made. That helped me more than YouTube tutorials.My only complaint about the board itself is the lack of dedicated media keys. Instead media is controlled by press fn and an f key. The keyboard has a brightness button, which cycles led brightness through 0%, 33%, 66%, and 100%. This lets you control brightness without having to edit a profile. It also has a Windows lock button, which can lock key presses that would take you out of the game you're playing. The CUE software can change which key presses that the lock disables such as Win, Alt+F4, and Alt+Tab. Both these buttons have full RGB capabilities. There are three verticals indicators that only light up white for the caps, num, and scroll locks.There are a few other aesthetic features on the board. The Corsair sails logo on the upper left corner has the full RGB range, and is invisible when disabled in CUE. There is a silver Corsair wordmark on the board above the number pad. The sides of the keyboard are white, with a white LED pipe running down them. The keyboard so fully plastic on the outside, with flaps on the back to raise the keyboard. They are sideways, so moving the keyboard won't collapse them.The keyboard also comes with a set of FPS and MOBA keycaps that are grey, textured, and contoured. There is an included keycap puller to help make switching out the caps easier. If you prefer wrist wrests, there is a nice soft plastic one that comes in the box.Overall, this is a great keyboard with few flaws.
