Seeking Health is a high quality brand, and this B6 does not have fillers
New research Oct 2017 study (The Vitamin B6 Paradox) on Researchgate showed that taking the pyridoxine form of b6 in larger doses actually leads to decreased vitamin b6 function and symptoms of deficiency. The inactive form pyridoxine competitively inhibits the active pyridoxal-5-phosphate form and both pyridoxal 5 phosphate dependent enzymes were inhibited by pyridoxine. So the more pyridoxine you take, the more it can work against you and even lead to deficiency B6 symptoms. It also mentions it was toxic even at lower doses killing cells, and Lareb reported that some found doses as low as 2mg/day caused the same neuropathy symptoms as higher doses. This product is Pyrodoxal-5-phosphate, the active form which doesnt have any of those issues, and so in my opinion seems to be the better way to supplement vitamin b6 and why I chose it and now avoid pyridoxine as much as I can. Vitamin B6 in the non active form also needs Magnesium, Zinc, and Vitamin B2 to convert to its active form. As many are low on magnesium, or are under stress which depletes both magnesium and zinc, it seems that many may not be converting Vitamin B6 as well. There are also genetic mutations MTHFR that some may have that can keep the conversion from occuring. Seeking Health is a high quality brand, and this B6 does not have many of the fillers others do. I would buy again anytime I need a standalone B6 supplement. I also use their Seeking Health B Minus which has 20mg P5P with the other B vitamins except B12 and also Folate, which can be added separate as needed. Has my review been of help to you? If so, would you consider hitting the "helpful" button below? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Great for managing prolactin (TRT)
Absolutely solid P5P brand. Definitely helped manage my prolactin levels while on TRT. Would like to mention I did not go guns blazing with dosage. I took it very slow while seeing how my body reacts. Overall mood and sleep are the greatest things that improved! Would highly recommend giving this a shot if you’re in the same boat.

Even 25mg is too much
After reading about the negative side effects I could tell I hit my saturation point after 4 days at 50mg per day. Even at 25mg in the morning daily my tongue tingles and pulses so I am now taking it every other day or less to avoid over saturation and nerve damage.

Makes a difference
I always had toxic issues with B6. This active version of B6- P5P I take with no problem. With this supplement (which I take only 1 25mg pill every other day), I have vivid dreams which I remember pretty well, and I believe (and hope) that I'm getting a deeper, higher quality sleep as well. There are some interesting reports of reduction of anxiety, depression, and help with burning feet and a host of other possibilities with P5P especially if you have found standard B6 to be toxic to some degree. Try this P5P. Be your own doctor and decide how much to take, how often, and for how long. I am not one who believes more is always better. Give it a try and see if your dreams and sleep are positively affected. After 6 months: I've cut back to 2 25mg pills a week, and may cut back more or stop for a while at least as it seems my body has enough B6 (p5p) now. No rules in all this, I just notice I'm getting good sleep and dreams with less and less p5p. Learning as I go along ... Be cautious about taking too much....

God just hard to know if it’s working
I got this product as a newly diagnosed gestational diabetes patient. I’ve never had diabetes in the past, although that’s up in the air given the lack of looking into it lol I was looking up how effective dietary changes and glucose levels are in terms of pregnancy parameters, and came across a few articles and studies suggestion that this particular strain of B6 was integral in combating gestational diabetes in particular; mostly due to the unique relationship of placental hormones and insulin that occur during a pregnancy. I already take a multivitamin but this P5P is not in there and is also not anywhere in the pharmacy vitamins sections I looked in in person. Eager to get my act together quickly, I ordered this product here and had it next day. I started dietary changes pretty quickly into being told I’d failed my initial screen, so it’s hard to know exactly if this product did something? I will say that my glucose numbers evened out extremely quickly. I had a fasting rate of 140 the first morning I began all my chnages. Now it is consistently between 97-103. Those are still considered “high” in pregnancy land but damn a 40 point difference? I doubt it was my diet alone as I’m still learning what even works and what doesn’t. At that point I hadn’t yet received a diet consult or any suggestions about correct diabetic eating. So I’m erring on the side of “this vitamin is working” lol. Since then I failed my 3 hours test (but that was literally only 2 days after my initial failed screen), and have met w dietitian and log my glucoses. Today I reached 94 fasting glucose for first time since all of this started about 2 weeks ago. I still take this vitamin daily. I don’t know what it’s doing or if it’s working but I feel like it is. Placebo effect? Maybe? Actually working? I’d like to think so. :)

Rocks
Whew this is NOT the usual B6 supplement. Perhaps it's just me and at what point my current system is at because of a long term exceptionally stressful situation and the add on situations from the primary causal factor. Good price point. Be slow and careful until the body gets adapted to having adequate amounts of free B6 in your system. Family operation which for me is a huge plus. Recommend.
